I've been "sort of" house hunting and in my search, I fell in love with this house. I decided to save it. Today I put it on as my computer background and notice that there is a figure in the top window. I took this picture directly from the realtor's site, so no tampering. Thoughts/

I have found that windows are very reflective and sometimes we get images that are simply reflections of something inside the house, or outside. However, in your photo there IS an image in the window. I tried to enlarge it but the more I did, the more distorted it became, but it appears to be a skeleton or something, that is just a guess on my part. Are you going to buy the home? JN

I would find out how old the house is-- if nyone died there-- ya know stuff like that. I see something but I can't tell what. It could be a flash in the glass.

Are you going to buy the house?
Have you done any research on it? It seems kinda scary to me (but then, Im just a wuss!)

Oh the things I can do to that house! It looks like with a little TLC it would look really Great! As far as the ghjost in the window it does have a skeletal figure and a face....Hmmmmmm, ya never know! Nic pic! thumbsup.gif

Cute house, I love older character homes, IA with veliska27 with a little TLC it would be great, although it is already charming as it is. original.gif I see what you are noting however I think it is just combo of reflections, artifacts distorting the reflection, and perhaps even something in the window [bit of a curtain showing under the blind just for e.g.].
The photo is quite pixilated with notable artifacts [likely due to aggressive compression], the foliage looks stretched in spots, the roof, eaves, stairs, etc all have distorted bits, can also see artifacting in the other windows.

I'm guessing if you had a full res [unaltered] copy of the photo you'd find that the anomaly in the window looks different then it does here.
When images are downsized [image] details are removed [tossed away as you can't get original details back once you've saved the change], not uncommon to see upwards to 95% [or more] of the details [pixels] removed with images posted on the web.
This can make a huge difference, to how the overall image looks, whether or not you can discern details in the b/g area or smaller content objects, and the amount you can zoom in before distortion/artifacts/blur/fuzziness become a problem.

Just for example, on another forum someone posted an image where an object in the b/g area was in question, it was noted as being a small chair [child size] that appeared to have what sort of looked like a childlike figure in it or in front of it [also had a mundane orb over it which added to the illusion]. A request for a higher res copy was made and once posted it was like night and day, the chair was actually a couple of wicker baskets [stacked] sitting on the floor and the sort of figure [created by artifacts] was no longer evident. happy.gif

With all that said, w/o an original full res copy you can't be certain what it may or may not be, however, IMO based on how it does look [& above noted] I think it's something mundane. Even if there wasn't anything in the photo I'd still enquire about the history of the home if you are thinking of buying it. Good luck with your search for a house. original.gif

Watchful
Well I do also think the house looks lovely! Yeah, anything more done to it, and it would be spectactular! It's a small house though, but a lot can be done to it. I wonder if the basement is finished. If it isn't, if you buy the house, if that is a thought. (Sorry, I have a thing for houses. *shrugs* ) What a place to put the dish. I am thinking that this is a Victorian, I could be wrong.

Now, I wonder if you know if the previous family is still living in this house? Could it be one of them staring out of the house, and the picture was distorted somehow? I also think that maybe this is a case of matrixing. I tend to do that really too much. I'm not saying that for sure, it could be something. I just think I am not really sure what it could be.

Though, like I did when I viewed two houses in one day, when my husband and I were searching for a house, I did get a feeling of both houses. Our first house, a cape, where the family was already living in it and were gone while we looked, I got a wonderful welcoming feeling. It could be still be haunted though, and I think it is from a cat. Being a cat lover and lived in a more haunted house in Jersey, I can really live with that. The second house we viewed, I got a bad feeling. Now the house was lived in by a woman who our realitor didn't know was moved into a nursing home, or she had died. The furniture was still in there and was marked for ownership by family members. (I couldn't get the realitor to say anything to my question of whether the owner died in her home) Yeah, that house, a ranch, had a slanted foundation, that gave our reality angent and myself inner ear sickness. (I still wonder, to this day, if that house was bought). I also felt that living in that house would fill me with dread. It just seemed like it was depressing and awful. I do get a sense of homes. I get a sense of a lot of things. When I look at the picture of this house you have posted, I sense empty. I do not think anything non-living is there. Don't bet on my senses, but I thought if it might be helpful if I put my two cents in. grin2.gif
