My understanding is that this is a forum to discuss spiritual beliefs and ideas, not to jack off to the bible. My belief is that god doesn't exist, and it's just as valid as the belief that he does.

If you listen to your heart and listen very carefully, you will have a better chance of knowing when, what you are hearing, rings true to you.

Don't be fooled by some of those that preach, just because they may wear dog-collars or appear to be in positions of authority does not mean that they know everything there is to know, even though they may say they DO know.

I do believe that those that lead others astray will have to answer, how and in what form, I haven't a bloody clue. I liken it to taking a group of people to a trip to the mountains, you tell them you know exactly which way to go, where the shortcuts are, where the pitfalls exist and to follow your lead and yet you cause them all to get lost because you really didn 't know at all. Some will survive, some not - personally, I don't know about you, but I would not like that sort of thing on my conscience. In fact, each and every one of those following would have been better off preparing themselves better rather than just following blindly.

Personal.
No need to preach, proslylthesise,or attempt to convert anyone.
No acrimonious debates.
Absolutely incontrovertible and undeniable truth.
No gospel/written belief system that others can warp or twist into their own version.
Truly, I am suprised that more people have not adopted it.

Joey, are you not someone who has a serious illness? I have you on my prayer list but cannot recall why = God will sort it out.

It disturbs me when someone has such a deep blackness against the Catholic Church. I am Catholic. You are probably an ex-Catholic who feels aggrieved by something someone in the church has said or done or refused to do for you?

If you are ill, all the more reason just to let it go. Such heat is not adding to good health. If you have found genuine peace in your new faith then the joy of it should not be soured by memories. God knows your soul and true heart and knows how to deal with any false doctrine that may hurt His people.

Isn't a prophecy a prediction of something happening in the future? Not repeating things from a book written 100s of years ago?

Since both of these events are still in the future and since the mark of the beast is to be given only during the last three and one-half years of this age, it cannot be given today (Rev.13:5-18). So don't worry Christians will not be here during the 7 years of tribulation. So remember the mark of the beast can only be given in the second part of the tribulation... We will be in Heaven with Jesus during that time. Only the people that are left behind will be required to take the mark of the beast and during this time the people that turn to God will know not to take the mark of the beast.

Every skeptic I have talked to knows a great deal about God and the bible, It leaves me wondering how they got so far from God, To know so much and yet choose to disbelieve in it. I am not sure to who you are referring but I would hope that no ones completly lost. Always a pleasure Joey

Because some of us see God differently.
Some see God as a figment of the imagination a thing that was needed for those times, But some of us see the God of that Bible as a wicked being that made Satan look like he was a hero and not worth worshipping.


I guess we all have our we reasons why we do not believe.

Forgive me I know there was a topic about this ,But how did God make satan into a hero? I know everyone has there own reasons for not believing in God ,But how did they get there. To know God and then turn away, Could be someone turned them away or something. Is the someones and somethings have any idea that you have turned from God because of them or it? That would depend on if the poster is Mormon or not (I couldn't tell by their post either haha). Most christian religions consider him to be a false prophet...Mormons don't.

According to the dead sea scrolls I believe it does mention him by name, I could be wrong but the researchers say that the scrolls have information that mormons will find proof of their beliefs in some way. I don't know everything about them there is a member here that does maybe he will post and let me know, Always a pleasure

The dead sea scrolls do have some parallels with mormonism, but Joseph Smith is at no time referred to by name.

Iam not a morman, but they did get Alot corect about Father, but The history Of this world was not over when Joseph Spoke To The angels and Father. THeir doctrin is missing some, There are a few sects , which all believe a little diferently than the other, but they are close to the truth.
