Doug's statement here is very logical and something we can All, hopefully, agree upon.
Which, consequently, brings up the issue of getting it done.
Meaning that at least some of us are going to have to start making noise, raising a stink, to get politicians/legislators to force companies to comply with planet-friendly practices.
i can apreciate what this guy is saying because i do think that even though we may not have caused this we are aiding the negative effects of it. in my job (cement manufacturing) we burn coal which puts off many pollutants not just co2 but we have processes engineered into the system to help reduce the ammount of polluting gasses we spew. also we are working on a way to recover all process exhaust gasses and pipe them to other places which will use them in thier process. recycle reduce reuse right? but ifd we could get every company to look into these possible options then we may slow what we are speeding.
now since i started this i asked the plant manager where i work about these things and what i stated before is what he told me. i will not blindly except it i asked for documentation to see and since we have an "open door policy" any interest in what the company is doing is encouraged and i saw that we are in fact working on lowering pollutants and reusing the ones we produce. this is a huge styep for one company but a small one world wide.
