hello, i was just reading about dan jackson and his bogfoot sighting, when i remembered something i has seen when i was younger, i was at the beach down at lake tyres, on one of the more deserted parts just running around and me and my sister both saw footprints in the sand, they were quite large not human sized, bigger i think. it was a while ago now.

im wondering have there been any Bigfoot sightings down towards Lake tyres?

are you talking about a large humanoid or the small ape man, cause I heard about a small ape man that was similar to the urang pendek-a small sasquatch counter part in indoniesia........so its in your neck of the woods man.

Thats trippy.

Although the way we percive things when we are younger are seen from the eyes of a smaller person. Anyone with a decent size foot could make a large print depending on the consisancy of the sand.
If the sand is hydrated fully and not soggy it will bulge and move the surrounding sand to create a more massive looking foot print.

I found this Blue, check it out, see what ya reckon.

There are quite a few reports on sightings with in southern Austraila.

I also live in Victoria and have come across tracks in the pines that sort of resemble bigfoot ones but on a closer look it is just what dirt and pine needles have formed from rain.

Big cats are out there but lol no sorts of bigfoot creatures .

Oh yeah its called the yowie............Yowie yowie
Zareste
Now in Australia? He must be quite a swimmer

sasquatch could only remain in the northwest if it came from china. as for a bigfoot in australia, no. its probably a species of large monkey that is very quick and agile. yowies arent reported to be big, only 5-6 ft tall.

Thats an interesting thought.
But............ we dont really have monkey's running around here in Oz, maybe if it had escaped from a sideshow or something.

or if it was a deformed monkey that was abnormally large. i hold that most cryptids are freaks of nature of known species with mutations or deformed features

I'm not so sure about that. A couple blokes have been posting on another site I track, and some of their tales are rather impressive and frightening. PM me if you'd like.
Belle.
Thanks for posting that site xCrimsonx. I am going to investigate what the Aboriginals have said about these creatures - for surely if they exist there would be many references to them in Aboriginal culture.

Australia has always had its own Bigfoot legend - that of the Yowie in Queensland. Considering there's no evidence to suggest that one exists, I'd say there's even less of a chance of finding anything substantial here in Victoria.

There is a yowie reference in Aboriginal culture, but there's also a reference to a giant rainbow snake in the sky happy.gif

Aborigines actually warned the white man about yowies. We have 2 types over here, the smaller ones about 4ft and then the typical 6 to 7 ft ones. Yowiehunters are a great site to gather information, Rex Gilroy also has some interesting bits.

As I understand, there's lots of rain forest on the eastern side. Mayhaps several cryptid species exist, who quite knows?
