A NSW man has set a new world record for the longest motorcycle jump in the United States, 40 years after his idol and stunt bike daredevil Evel Knievel first attempted the jump.
Robbie Maddison, a freestyle motocross rider from Kiama now based in the US, jumped 98.15 metres at Las Vegas's Rio Casino Hotel.
After the jump, he yelled to the cheering crowd: "Man I'm so happy. This is awesome. I wanna jump this thing again."
"And so he did" lol
