Execrpt from my Ripley's Believe It Or Not! book:

Spooky!
If you're afraid of ghosts, stay away from Prestbury in Gloucestershire: It's said to be the most haunted village in England. Among the spirits spotted there are a knight in armor, a sheperd and his sheep, and the Black Abbot, who haunts the churchyard. When photographer Derek Stafford developed some pictures he'd taken in a floodlit churchyard on November 22, 1990, he found a ghostly hooded figure, assumed to be the Abbot, looming over the gravestones!

I'd love to scan the photograph, but my printer is disconnected. =3

I've never heard of it, though it's about half an hour away from where I live. The photo is quite a famous one, though I never thought it was an actual real photo of a ghost, it looks too staged to me.

Thanks for the info on the village, a whole haunted village sounds like a great place to visit.

I was having this very discussion a few days ago; every village/town/city in the UK claims it's the 'most haunted'...... Pluckley, Derby, York, Edinburgh, London, the Peak District, Cornwall, Devon etc etc

Thanks to Reggie for putting up the famous photo.....not entirely convinced, but it's still a good pic thumbsup.gif

Very nice observation, definitely looks fishy.
