I am not claiming to have special powers at all. I am stating I have seen things, heard things and experienced things in my life that would give some a heart attack. But with this sensitivity come EXTREME strain on my head like a whirlwind of glass spiraling in my mind. I don't talk about this to much of anyone Iknow in real life but my dead friends also talk to me through my dreams. All of this causes me EXTREME headaches, mood swings, split personalities, extreme unexplained emotions of unnatural origin. I could go into GREAT detail of what I go through because of this. I talked to a psychic once that said it will kil your mind unless you know how to protect your mind from this "gift" which I think as more of a curse. and no i didnt obtain this it has been every since birth i have experienced this. Since my memory began.

What I am getting at is does anyone LIKE me know anyways to protect my mind from this strain and pain, or is it something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life?

You really ought to consider taking this up with a physician or other licensed health care professional.

I am a sensitive myself. I have seen and sensed spirits and energies since I was a child. I agree that it can be very physically, emotionally, and mentally draining. Encountering a negative or distressed entity makes this problem even worse. People have asked me for assistance with issues of a spiritual nature many times, and I have accommodated them willingly as I feel that it is my gift/responsibility, but each time takes its toll. Going to haunted locations is sometimes almost too much for me to bear.

I deal with all of this by meditation. Sometimes during meditation I will seek out my spirit guide (my deceased grandmother) for assistance if I am feeling particularly drained or spiritually oppressed. Other times I just meditate to cleanse my mind and spirit of negativity and to boost my strength. Meditation is, without question, a sensitive's best friend. If you have never meditated, I highly suggest giving it a try. If you need any help getting started, feel free to PM me. Good luck sorting things out. This has been a life-long struggle for me, and I wish you the best in your struggle for peace.

If this was brought on by events that have occured in your life then it might be a subconcious response to your environment which triggers undesired effects. Your mind is in turmoil, so I would probably suggest doing up some reading on meditation/yoga things like that to help you gain better control of your thoughts, concious and subconcious.

I maybe wrong but from the several books I read they pretty much say a lot of what claim to see, hear, feel are just a trick your mind is playing on you. Reason being is because we as humans have a wide freq that can’t really focus in on certain things if they really do exist. The only things us humans could experience in relation to a ghost, sprit, or other entity would be the physical effect they might emit. (Change in temperate) You might find the book, “Mind into Matter” a good read. Since it focuses on theories that can’t be proven or disproved yet I would be weary of it.

Oh, please keep in mind that my statement in regards to not being able to see/hear/feel is only in relation while awake. Being asleep is a whole other story.

I have always had somewhat predictive dreams.....and migrains......and more recently cluster headaches. and insomnia..soooo. for natural sleep that wont interrupt my dreams, a low dose of meletonin, and for headaches, incense oil and sometimes a muscle relaxer.

Mhmm.. Keep in mind that what you experience as "reality" is in actual fact all occuring in your head. Your senses just makes it seem like its "out there." Anyways, there can be some debate as to the human brains ability to deduce information from what its already given. Obviously it is physically impossible to actually SEE a ghost or some such I would imagine however if your brain was able to make some complex? deductions about what it was experiencing as reality it might very well be able to deduce that there is a very high chance of a "spirit being" being in your presence. I'm not sure how accurate my claim is but hey... We still know very little of the human brain.
