MY ILLUSION

There is nothing to hate
but i still despise you
time is an illusion
God did not make time,
just night and day
we made time, months and years
to keep ourselves busy and on time
but for what?
what are we waiting for?
we don't wanna wait
i need you here
so far out there
i won't notice you
how far must i go?
will this damage my soul?
will he be coming back tonight?
they yell "Close your eyes,
they'll get you tonight!"
i wish it was an illusion
he just wants to see you cry
you'll sleep tonight
with him beating over you
we drift so far away from the truth
we don't wanna hear it
so i killed it
but we're so far away
losing our minds
this has got to be an illusion
i won't believe their lies
write it on a bullet
i despise my illusion
i refuse to notice you
just make me bleed
and i'll sleep tonight, honey
i won't dream without you
i can't sleep
close your eyes
and he'll get you tonight

I like it. It's got a rambling quality to it that fits together to make sense. It's like you are telling a disjointed story, which is the way we think sometimes.

Sweety, this is the second poem I've read with 'bleed tonite' in it. You said this is based on what is going on in your world. Are you involved in a physically abusive relationship? It sounds as though you are. Are you okay or do you need some help? Great poem btw.

.....sounds like as if you have been possessed......he is beatin the heck out of you and you kinda like it...and think of it in a metaphysical level!
