So I'm sitting at my computer, alone, when I see these little dark things moving around the wall at the corner of my eye. Are they shadow ghosts? Or are they really the result of a strained eye looking at the computer too much? Either way, it's creepy and annoying. I heard your house doesn't need to be haunted to have shadow beings either. Creeptastic.

I see that a lot when I'm on the computer too, idk if it really is shadow people, or like you said, strained eyes, but it does get annoying. I always see it in the same place too, right in the corner of the room, like its kneeling down, and then gets up, and when I look over it's gone.

Well, technically if you see shadows out of the corner of your eye it can be numerous things not necessarily a ghost. You can't account for all the shadow variables that you aren't directly looking at so a shadow casted by some unknown means by whatever means can easily be thought of as paranormal. This is not to say however, that it isn't paranormal, but often people rush to judgement rather than to find a likely source.

You know, it's funny, I've always been a bit weary of the idea of shadows to begin with. Just the thought of a black doppleganger following you around constantly kind of creeps me out, though of course I know there's nothing super-natural about it, obviously.
I've never seen a shadow person personally, at least not one that I can prove, but to me Shadow People are very scetchy supernatural beings just because shadows can be any number of things, still I find the idea of Shadow People very chilling and I'd MUCH rather run into a regular ghost than a shadow person any day

Hi, I see the black shadows too but when I go to bed, not on puter. I think its just floaters, because we cannot see them dead on, and thats consistent with floaters..JN

i think most of the time its just your eye. i have seen tons of those, and there was really only one that i knew was a shadow ghost/ person. there is a long story behind it, and i dont want to tell it all, its on this forum somewhere, but basicly, it was middle of the day, i was outside with my friend, and we both saw it, and he was able to describe it just as a saw it. that was the only one i was sure was not my eyes.

but basicly, i think alot of them could be your eyes, because, of all the people who see them constantly, you would think that if they were physical, we would have more evidence of them. sure, there are some pic floating around the internet, but if most of those black things we see are something, and not just our eyes, there would be alot more pic and videos i think

That is a very good possibility that they can be floaters...
It just seems strange to me that these dark things can show up anytime, even in broad daylight. It's like they're messing with me or something, and to be quite honest, whatever "it" is, it's really annoying. I guess I can just gouge my eyes out.

Thats a little extreme LOL..Just ignore them, as most of us get them at all hours of the day and night..I remember turning quickly to catch them, before I just said the heck with it and live with them, and now ignore them. Try that as opposed to gouging your eyes out. JN original.gif

It does make ya think. I get them all the time and even more now that I'm on a certain medication which is known to cause weird visuals. Any darkened areas in my vision, peripheral vision, and randomly all over in low light. But I also get huge tracers in the mornings for a couple of hours. I'm going to have to watch Fantasia when I wake up sometime. whistling2.gif

If you're in a dark room and just looking at a monitor it's probably eye strain. There have been times I've worked so hard on the computer I would swear the characters on the screen are moving like ants! wink2.gif

Most likely it was only your eyes. Did you see a definate figure, or just movement?

Umm those were ants, I told you to stop eating at your computer... tongue.gif

This is very simple to explain. Try going into a room with only one light on, when it is dark outside. Look at the light for about 15-20 seconds, then turn it off. In the dark room, you will still see a residual image of the light. Quickly, turn in another direction so your eyes are away from where the light is. You will still see the residual image of the light in front of you. This image will remain for a few seconds. It looks almost like a negative of the light you were looking at. I will not go into the chemical reasons why your eyes do this, as that would just take too long and be too boring.
OK, now, imagine you are sitting at your computer. You are reading something that is on the left side of the screen. Your right peripheral vision is picking up the image from the right side of your computer screen. Now, you shift your focus to the right side of the screen. Your right peripheral vision in now off of the computer screen, and on the wall to your right. However, it still has the residual image of the computer screen, which looks like a negative image. Since your peripheral vision can't make out details as well as your focused vision, this will seem like a shadow in the corner of your eye.
As your focused vision moves on the computer screen, it will give the impression that the "shadow" in your perpheral vision is moving. And of course, when you turn to look at it, it will not be there, as your peripheral vision is not somewhere else, and most likely, the residual image has faded. Just a trick of light, and the way your eyes retain images.

I've also done alot of research into shadow people, and talked to several experts on the subject. There are a couple of telltale signs that accompany ALMOST(want to emphasize that) every shadow person sighting. One of the more common ones is a sense of overwhelming fear or dread, even before the shadow person is seen. This exact thing happened to me on my one and only encounter with a shadow person. I was going about my normal business, when this feeling of pure terror came over me. I turned around, and was able to pinpoint exactly where the source was easily. I coud have pointed it out with my eyes closed. There was a shadow person crouched down, looking at me. It had 2 glowing red eyes, which is also another common occurance with them.
Also, shadow people are RARELY seen in light at all. Most reports of a human shaped dark black shadow, on a background that is lighter black. Kind of like a lighter shadow with a darker shadow in it. Light seems to almost always "scare" these things away.

Of course, I could be wrong. You could always have a shadow person stalker!!

I had shadow ghost experience once. It was 10 am in the morning with the sun bright outside. My room has white walls so the sunlight reflects around throughout my bedroom. I remember waking up and looking at my clock to check the time and I decided to lay back down to recuperate for a couple more minutes. As I laid there with my eyes close, I could of sworn it was only 2-3 seconds when my whole room went completely dark as if it were night time. I quickly opened my eyes again only to find out that my room was dark as if it was night time so I quickly looked up out my window to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Sure as I was, I wasn't dreaming. I looked outside and the morning sunlight was still there but unable to pass through my window which made me really confused. I then turned to look at my clock to make sure again that i wasn't dreaming and it said 10:01 am. Now I was starting to get really freaked out. From the corner of my eye I saw a black figure in the corner end of my room so I quickly turned to glance at it. Right when I got full view of the shadow figure, it started running towards the other end of my room while I had my eyes locked on full view of it. As soon as it reached my wall, it simple stopped and disappeared into thin air. Right when it fully disappeared, sunlight re-entered my entire room and I was still very shocked from the whole experience.
I quickly laid back in bed and fell asleep, waking up an hour later at 11 am and begin my day.

It was a pretty weird and somewhat scary experience. I say somewhat scary because this isn't my first paranormal incident in my apartment because I had a couple others (ie tv turning on and changing channels or volumes, closet shaking, white gown woman, etc.)

If you catch it out of the corner of your eye then it's gone, I'm pretty sure it's nothing special. If you are looking right at it and see it vanish, then you have something lol.

Seems to happen to me also when i'm at the puter ! I believe in shadow ghosts , but I think its just strained eyes ! If you see them in other places , then you probably do see them
