I thought I would share this story since it does have stuff to do with Ghosts, Hauntings, and The Paranormal.
When I was a freshman at Purdue University last year, a fellow freshman by the name of Wade Steffey went missing one night after a frat party. The campus police were called after about three or so days, when the Wade's roommate reported his unusually long absence. In short, police were involved, and soon enough, the missing student made headlines in the school newspaper as well as the whole state of Indiana being involved. They searched everywhere on campus and found his cell phone near the bell tower, but no Wade. At this point, people were already assuming foul play.
Three months later, a student at one of the residence halls is walking through the halls to to his laundry. I forget the details but I think one of the maintenance closets opens and a blackened, charred body falls out in front of him. Wade Steffey was found in an electric closet and according to investigators, was trying to find a light switch to find his way out, and ended up with the fatal mistake of touching one of the electrical wires. Police are called and about a week they confirm that it is the body of Wade Steffey, although reports claim that "the body was electrocuted beyond identification--you couldn't even tell what the gender was". They found his body slumped in the corner.
This genuinely freaked me out. I know exactly where it happened and every time I walk by the utility closet where he was electrocuted, this strange feeling of anxiety and depression just rushes over me--no joke.
At any rate, I thought I'd share. Feel free to get the better details at this site:
