ASHEBORO, N.C. - Denise Williams shot home video of a big black animal in a field next to her south Asheboro home Tuesday morning, touching off a flurry of police officers, sheriff's deputies and zoo staffers dispatched to the area.

shucks, the story never gave a real description of the critter. something like a dog/wolf critter that walks like a cat. i know, nobody got a good look at it, but that still bothers me.

I wish I could see the video. It could always be an inbred cat, or a species cross. Still the video would be really neat to see.

hmmm.....great theory! imbred between wild cat/tame cat or imbred between wild dog/tame dog. good thinking Phychicer!
i think it could be some starving boar, too, it would look skiny......

i don't know what to think imean i live WAY up north,but still in america, and ive seen wolves, black bears and linx, but that dosn't sound like anything i've ever heard of. 's a puzzle to me as to what it could be, mabey a black cougar, like a speices coolr glitch.

maybe its a wild cat with a melanistic (skin and hair color) deformity.
