can anyone help explain to me the ending of eastern promises?... was the "driver" undercover cop? but he helped mutilate the body.. or was that note they found in the dead dudes jacket, from the :"driver"... and at the end, what happend to kallil (mispelled) and his father??

Umm... Yes, he was an undercover cop. If you followed the film they mentioned it a number of times. Undercover cops have to do all sorts of immoral things to fit into their undercover character so they can gather evidence and bring down criminals, so he had little choice but to help chop up that guy. The note he left on the corpse was his 'police report' because he had no other way at the time to tell them what he learned.
Do you mean Kirill? The son of the mobster? It's assumed he kept living and that Nikolai (the cop) was going to gather more evidence to take down the entire operation. The father of Kirill was arrested for underage sex/rape of that 14 year old girl that wrote the diary that got this movie going in the first place using the DNA evidence from her baby, which Kirill tried to cover up by attempting to kill the child.

^ thats what i pretty much thought although i got the impression the cop became the new boss and would use hyis position to bring down things. Also the bathroom fight was cool

I got that from the scene here he meets up with his boss and shows off his new tattoos showing that he got the stars of the mob. They talked about it for a bit.
The bathroom fight would have been better if they had given him some boxers or at least a towel
