Hey guys.

I've been talking to Chauncy in chat and he says that he is unable to post or use the PM system. Obviously he can't then ask for help here so I'm doing it for him.

Anyhow he says that when he tries to post or send a PM it tells him that Internet Explr has encountered a problem and must shut down.

Apparently he is still able to use the Fast post so I will leave it to him to further explain his Problem...

I used to get that until I reinstalled shockwave which was weird.

Has he tried seeing if it happens with Firefox if he is not already using that.
Chauncy
I'll check out shockwave, thnx!!

Just send us a PM if it happens again thumbsup.gif

I'll leave this open for now as Chauncy was having problems with the PM system as well, have you had any luck at determining what was crashing your browser ?

Did reinstalling shockwave help ?

re-installing shockwave didn't help.

I think i have sometype of virus or something. I just recently had a problem with a Trojan....Security toolbar 7.1 ,it was called.

Sorry bud I had the same problem and it turned out to be shockwave for me. Sorry I was no help.

I hope firefox works for you because that is what I use now because I find it better.

both shockwave and flash are for multimedia, and shouldn't interfer with teh board, tho i agree firefox is better.

if you do no twant to use firefox, you can try reinstalling IE. also, i understand there was a security update that was causeing the browser to crash, so microsoft issued a fix. if you haven't had any updates for a while you might want to do so. ( funny how they keep putting out updates to fix problems caused by other updates).

I only use Firefox in my lab, but there are several free internet browsers to chose from and some of them are fairly good.
