Ghost Hunters International premiers tonight!! Is everybody ready?? I'm confused as to why Brian is the team leader... I thought Jason and them got rid of him for good?

tell me you're joking about Brian... I was looking forward to this, but not anymore. I just can't take any team he leads seriously. I tolerated Brian in Ghost Hunters because he said some really stupid things that made me laugh, but he was always hearing and seeing things the camera never picked up, he rarely approached anything critically, and "run dude run"... please *disappointed*

That is like Yvette Fielding in most haunted, she was always hearing things that no one else heard and half the time she was making the noises herself.

don't get me started on Yvette and Most Haunted.
I was looking forward to downloading GHI, but now I don't think I'll bother. 70% of each episode will probably be about Brian's personal life anyway.

Im not sure... on all the ads and pics it shows Brian as the "main" guy and I've read several places that he is the team leader.

It was an ok episode, but I really liked it. Chillingham Castle was pretty tame here on GHI than in Scariest Places on Earth.
I'm very interested in next week's episode, they're going to Lucedio Abbey in Italy, which was another place featured on Scariest Places. I'm looking forward to it.

Can you bang the table please....and again...louder please....do it again please....bang if you are really there.....can you now shake the table so that we really know you are there......now can you bang the table and shake it and do the hokie cokei and turn around so we know you are really, really, really there.
I remember watching one where she had a boy band with her, and she began doing that annoying bang the table 50 billion times thing, and all of a sudden a stone flew at her. It was either a ticked off ghost or one of the camera men wanted her to shut up lol.

The episode was good but i liked the re visit show to the Lighthouse in St. Augustine that was on before the GH international, i have been to the Lighthouse a couple times so its familiar to me. The girl that is with them now (Chris?) i must say that she is more of a man then i am. the way she jumped into that hole in the wall in the dark, i doubt if i would do that...

They never got rid of him. He took a break after he had a kid. I guess you missed the first half of last season.
I don't see why you all have such a big problem with him, either. If there's anyone to complain about, it's Andy. What a douche bag he is.
Anyway...this show was decent. It's pretty much the exact same thing as Ghost Hunters, minus Jason and Grant. I don't like Robb, the team leader, though. That guy is very strange. His eyes look like they are going to pop right out of his head any second.

I found the re-visit to 'Lighthouse in St. Augustine' more interesting to watch than GHI, even though I got a good laugh watching Donna and the new girl screaming thier heads off when the folded mattress moved. The new leader(forgot the his name) seemed so rigid and hard to get to know, they should of spent the time in hearing his story was about.
In GH, Chris was fun to watch as she got stuck and Jason snatched her out like a sack of potatoes and to see Grant then gets stuck as well. Lets hope she will be added to the show permenantly. lol

I agree about Andy and Robb. Robb doesn't appear to have a sense of humor at all. Andy is annoying. Debunking is excellent but I just hate his over pronunciation and the dude needs to step out in the sun every now and then. The albino look is not fitting for anyone.
The show was alright, its not as good as Ghost Hunters, but then again, it was the first aired episode. I am sure they were uptight. Shannon aka "The Screamer" needs to get her crap in gear if she is going to be doing this on TV. She is moreless the weakest link in the whole crew, not even sure what she brings to this.
Barry, probably my favorite NEW crew member. I like his approach.
I seriously do not see why people have a problem with Brian. If he was really a problem as everyone thinks he is, trust me, he would be GONE. Granted it's often overlooked because he is an excellent investigator and he knows his equipment and what he is doing. He has been apart of TAPS before TAPS was GhostHunters. Someone belonging to a group that long becomes family. He is annoying, but every family has at least one annoying person

Donna, she is too fine. She may be the case manager but she is one of my favorite investigators out of the whole crew. She has that sweet mentality approach, she sometimes tries to provoke, but I bet if there is something there they are thinking "Oh come on, you gotta do better than that sweet cheeks" lol.

I don't like Brian for the same reason you don't like Andy:

Andy is annoying

actually I don't like Andy either for that reason. They did get rid of Brian for awhile - when he finally started dating and he hooked up with some girl who was calling him every 5 minutes, and in the end Jason and Grant said enough is enough. I didn't like how when he finally came back, he wouldn't stop complaining about how Steve had taken over his position. Then he got in trouble for forgetting a piece of equipment one day, and he started firing back with, "you wouldn't be treating Steve like this if he'd forgotten it" or some crap like that. So yeah, I have my reasons, as does everyone else for why they dislike a member of the team

The only reason I like Andy on the show is because every once in awhile, he will say or do something so outrageously stupid that it's hilarious.
Brian's actually one of my favorites on the show. I mean, the only time he ever complained or started crap was when he came back in Season 2. It was understandable, because he came back after pissing off the entire crew for leaving in the first place, his job was given to Steve, etc. But the parts of Season 3 he was in, everything was back to normal. He does bring a lot to the table.

I'm not impressed with TAPS; I never have and I never will be. They always say to their client, " If you have any more problems contact us". What are they going to do, suck the ghost up in a vaccum cleaner. I think their a big joke.
NoahJaymes
Jan 10 2008, 09:00 PM
Well, what do you suggest they do techman? Reveal to their client and then cease all contact? Hauntings do not occur 24-7, maybe they didn't get anything and would like to come back when activity is more precise or getting worse.
If you want to look at it in greater detail, TAPS does enlist a few members who can cleanse a house if need be. So if activity persists and the client would like a blessing, wahlaa.
Pretty meaningless argument I'd say.

I also like Brian and hope he can walk the straight and narrow over sea's, Donna makes me laugh and i have to give Steve allot of credit for making it up those long spiral stairs as far as he did, t.a.p.s to me is a good show although i do wonder about what they can/will do if they where to ever run into something that themselves cant handle..

If you're going to bash the show, you could at least come up with some legit arguments as to why you think it's bad. Yeah, they're plumbers...so what? That automatically makes them bad ghost hunters? That makes no sense. You can hate the show all you want... doesn't mean it sucks. Until you can come up with real reasons as to why you don't like the show, then stay out of the discussion.

You know, most paranormal investigators use the same tools that TAPS do... so how does that make TAPS's findings any less valid? I'd rather watch a show that focused on capturing physical evidence in order to determine whether a place is haunted, than determining it based on "feelings" and "emotions." TAPS take on board the unexplainable evidence, and leave behind the explainable - it makes their findings stand out more, especially in the eyes of skeptics like myself. And considering there is no real qualification for being a ghost hunter, I'm sure you'll find many investigators with all sorts of day jobs.
And I've never heard of somebody being seemingly killed by a ghost before, so I'm glad TAPS don't mess with peoples heads and fill it with stuff about dangerous ghosts and demons like certain other paranormal shows. I think that's the responsible approach - if they said something and put the idea out there, and someone went out and took drastic action, potentially hurting or killing themselves or others in the process, then how would the TAPS members be able to live with themselves? In one episode I recall them discussing the notion of people controlling the environment around them, after their observation of one girl seemed to suggest that - it was interesting, and since there are unknown factors like that out there in regards to paranormal activity, I think it's irresponsible of someone to put suggestions into peoples heads. They're right for simply saying "if you have any problems, call us," without making conclusive statements about a field that is still shrouded in so much unknown.
