Undead out!

You were just trying to get me to come in here all riled up, weren't you? =P

LMAO at the dinosaur renderings! I wonder how much of what we are so certain about today will be shown wrong in the future?

I hope MonsterQuest does something on Mokele Mbembe. I'm starting to respect their research methods, even if they DO have to stick to "there's still a chance omg" to keep the believers watching when they find nothing good.
~Cheese~
Lol i hope so too

Hehe, nah I agree with you about Dinosaurs, they are DEAD.

I posted this here because it facinates me that as recently as 1920 we had explored so little of the world. Anything could exist back then, wonders never ceased in that big unexplored Earth. And now. Bluh.

Hah, in the 1920's it seemed to simply be the commong thought that a surviving Dinosaur would be found any day now. And now. Bluh.

Top: "Deadly Dinosaur Dining Near North Pole" It shows a T-Rex eating something.

Bottom: "Does Prehisotoric Monster Still Exist?" Apparently referring to reports from South-Africa of a sauropod. The article marvels that a member of this species survived extinction. Then, naturally, goes on about an expedition to hunt down and kill the creature. huh.gif

LMAO, Deadly Dinos dine at North Pole?! Never heard of that one before! laugh.gif rofl.gif
Intelligent Insight
I agree that there probably wasnt any dinosaurs left although i like this saying"If then there was a rumor and dont know,Then today we explore it and we find out it isnt there,How do we know it wasnt there in then"

What i basicly mean is if someone says there is a dino in the north pole and we dont go there to see for ourselfs until 20-40 years later and it isnt there,It doesnt mean it wasnt there in 1920.

The Dragon fary tales had to come from somewere...

Oh No. You said dragon.

You can't prove a negative so some one could actualy argue that

Thanks for that grin2.gif Very amusing.

I cannot wait untill we start fossil huning the poles, the preserving qualities of all that ice surely hold a unique treasure. New species, preserved species, with Global Warming speeding climate change along, I'll see it in my lifetime with some luck.

There is a dinosaur in my backyard about 100 feet underground.

I feed it live raccoons and pepperoni pizzas. and i'll take a glass.
Undeadskeptic
Ah, of course, so its the dreaded Pepperoniodon eh? I hear they were going to have that replace the TRex in Jurrasic Park, but didn't think that humans being ignored and racoons being chased by the lead villian was scary enough. Thats a Shame.

Oh, of course. *Chish, plup, blub blub blub blub blub* There you go. Yes that was my champagne being poured sound effect lol.

Have you heard of this find? Mummified Hadrosaur.

Very cool, how cool would it be to stumble over that. yes.gif
Undeadskeptic
Nah, hadn't, thats very cool!

I'd say! When I was a kid I always wanted to find a fossil, I loved Dinosaurs. Every single sentence I said had to have Dinosaur in it, Im amazed I had friends lol! One day, my class went to the river. We were asked to look for fossils and stuff, so away I went, looking for a Tyrannosaurus when, hm, whats this? I lifted up a rockand it has a foot print shaped mark in it? Is this a footprint, I asked everyone and they all said, No, don't be stupid. So I threw it i the pond.

Skip ahead to 6 years later, I was watching the news and up came "MAN FINDS ALMOST COMPLETE SET OF MOA TRACKS BY MANAWATU RIVER!" Would you believe it, it was a total set of 17 footprints. It would have been 18 but for unexplained reasons one print was inexplicibly missing out of the nigh perfect set! To ths day I still don't know if that rock I found had anything to do with that, but let me tell you, I was gutted! I hope it wasnt the missing print I threw away, I hope SO much that I wasn't the as---le that ruined the big discovery of the year for the Manawatu by throwing that frekin rock in the pond!

That's a great tale yes.gif Glad you shared that. Do you think that it would be worth snorkelling the pond?
Never know, you may still find it, it would make quite some headlines, especially with that cool story to go with it.

Beat me to the punch. =P

I love that find, beautiful evidence and a glimpse into dinosaur physiology we very rarely get. We can't hope for a frozen dino with the ice ages, poles, and continents the wy they've been, but we can certainly look for more of these. Think of how the paleontological world was turned upside down with the discovery of therapods with feather imprints in the surrounding rock! Things like this help us look for things in the bones we might not have realized the significance of earlier.

Yeah, your right, hoping to find a Dinosaur in a clear Ice Cube is asking a bit much considering climate change and tectonic plate movement. Stunning find, that was one lucky young fellow! I sure hope we do find more - maybe the possbility of some snap frozen Megafauna?

Nah, its weird, when I tell it over the net it sounds like it was a really big deal, like an amazing event. But it wasn't really, the rock I found was probably not even a Moa footprint, its just when looking at it in retrospect its funny that I should throw it into the pond, even though it was just a rock, when if I'd just left it there somthing might have happened. Like being mentioned in the local newspaper or somthing. And then nothing. So nah, its not such an awesome story, just an intresting one that comes up time to time original.gif
