OK people..
I am with Orange and have an 8mb Wireless and Talk account. The Router has just been re-located into my sons room, so he can use his Xbox 360 online through it, he also has his computer through it wireless but it will be hardwired today.
I have a computer wireless, my Daughter has a computer and a laptop wireless, my wife has one wireless (although it is never really used because one of the others is normally available).
When I do an Internet speed test on the broadband, my results are around 3000 KBPS, either just above or just below? but the chart on the site I do the test shows it should be higher???
Is this correct? and thanks is advance for any advice.

I used to be with orange, well wanadoo really but there one and the same. If your connection speed is 8 meg, i would take that with a pinch of salt bud, it depends on so many factors, like how far from the exchange are you? how busy is the internet in your area at that time, and the fact you have multiple connections to one 8mb connection is just sapping those little Mbs right out your mouth bud. I use sky and have the max package of 16mb, i rarely get above 10mb and we have three computers on our system.

Thanks for the advice buddy, I live about half a mile from the exchange and I am not sure if the Sky TV multiroom phone connections help or effect it, I have 4 Sky multi rooms also I am not sure also... if my filters are in the correct place? I have one from the main phone and one from the Router in my sons bedroom?

That is a lot of line usage from one little phone line bud... We have sky TV too, but i disconnected the phone connection to it as it was causing a line 'lag'

Thanks for that it is very helpful link..
I have a connection speed of 3499 at this moment with 3 computers and my son on line gaming.. (Rainbow 6) with friends... however it was similar this time yesterday after I moved the router.. but it dropped down in the evening to 48 kbps. I just turned the router off and on again and it picked right back up?
Today I moved the filters... so lets see what this eveing brings.. Ohh and I have removed 4 Sky multi rooms but have had to leave 1 has it acts as a phone line extension.
