Here is a website that tracks all of the shams out there in the publishing world. From Literary Agents to Publishers, and Contests. The main page shows all of the company's who were substantially complained about and are now facing legal action. There's also advice on how to submit to contests and what to look for in Agents and Publishers that might be suspicious.

You dont want to send out your book that you have worked on for years only to wait 6 months and then discover that the place you sent it to wasn't legit. It is definetly worthwhile to check out this website if you are a writer.

I knew about these places, but thanks for posting them for others. Very important to research A LOT before submitting.

What genre do you write in Purplos? Are you writing a book right now? I am a writer as well and i am currently writing a sci fi novel that's almost finished.

Well, anyway, im not sure what writers who meet should talk to each other about anyway Not their books of course if they're still as yet unpublished.
