ok, ive been debating on whether or not to post this, and ive decided i would as whether ye believe me or not, i would like to hear what ye think. grin2.gif

now, its not at all spectacular, but its the first time ive ever experienced anything like it. approach with an open mind my friends! thumbsup.gif

well, im rushing out the door all in a huff (typical school morning, so far) as the bus has already parked on the road outside the cowgates (for anyone who dosnt live amoung cows, its a deep hole in the ground covered by railing so the cows wont trespass into your yard wink2.gif ). im hurrying along and suddenly theres a womans voice shouting urgently, though it sounded far away and muffled. i couldnt for the life of me catch any of the words, and slowed down to a slow walk as i looked towards the front door and over to my bus driver waiting ever so patiently. the voice was gone as suddenly as it came, it was as if it had been switched on and then switched off.

i was confused but carried on towards the bus. then, as i walked periously over the cowgate, i skidded and nearly fell backwards! it caught me totally off guard, and i cursed myself for being so careless, of coarse you bloody fool, the place was covered with the overnight frost!

inside the bus, still confused, i realized that if i had not slowed down because of the voice, i would have surely fell back completely, cracking my skull off the hard ground, if not my precious bum! ohmy.gif

now, i was never a believer in guardian angels, but there've been little things going on lately making me feel someones with me and watching and trying to commune with me. i told my friends and one said 'the voices are the first sign of insanity katie. we'll be sending you off to the home in killarney soon enough!'

oh, my ever compassionate and considerate open minded neeny!

anyways, whats your thoughts? your welcome to agree with my dear friend neeny, she could be right! blink.gif

I would call them 'Cattle Grids' myself, but there you go.

I have had a similar experience, and i have heard of many other accounts which involve warnings or actually being caught - an old teacher of mine told me once he was at the Collosium in Rome on holiday, was walking down some stone steps along way up when he either tripped or mis-stepped and would of probably broken his neck if it wasn't for someone behind him catching him.
He turned round to thank his benefactor, but no one was there.

My experience was a bit more mundane but could of been quite painful - It was summer and I was walking down the road - i suffer a bit from hay fever and had a blocked nose, so i was breathing through my mouth. All of a sudden i heard this voice say "You had better close your mouth or a wasp my fly in!". I did what i was told and the second that i did, a wasp bounced off my lips. There was no one near me at the time infact there wasn't anyone in sight at all, and i have no idea how it happened or why, but i'm jolly glad i didn't swallow a wasp!

I would like to believe in Guardian angels, i know a lot of people who do. One ex of mine believed in Personal deaths who look after you until it's your appointed time - maybe a bit morbid.

hmmm...cow gates, cow guards, cattle grates...? era sure, what does it matter! tongue.gif

thankx PS, i dont belong in the loony bin so! grin2.gif i know for sure i wasnt hearing things, and that no one visible and breathing said it, i am very thankful though all the same! i guess no one else has had any similar experiences then???? w00t.gif

ya know, feel free to reply anyone... what does everyone else think of guardian angels then???
