I LOVE that book! It is awesome. I wonder why it was never made into a movie? Or have I just not ever found out which one it is?

Of course, another one is The Stand by Stephen King. I really liked this one, too.

Theron, Mortensen Hit The Road

UK, January 15, 2008 - Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen and Oscar-winner Charlize Theron have signed up for a movie adaptation of bestselling 2006 novel The Road.

The tome, by No Country for Old Men writer Cormac McCarthy, revolves around a man (Mortensen) who embarks on a nightmarish road trip after a nuclear explosion in an attempt to transport his son to safety while fending off hungry cannibals.

According to Variety, Theron will play the wife of Mortensen's character but will be seen mostly in flashback. The actress, who won multiple awards for her role in Monster, apparently agreed to play such a small role because she was a huge fan of the book.

Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron have signed up for post-apocalyptic thriller The Road

Aussie helmer John Hillcoat (The Proposition) is on directing duties, while Joe Penhall wrote the script.

I consider a graphic novel to be a book... V is only a graphic novel or at least all the copies i've seen anyway.

WOW... I just read a fantastic Postapocalyptic horror called "The Deluge" By Mark Norris
Great book I would really recommend it
Incorrigible1
Lucifer's Hammer, by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Extremely well researched, and the survival preparations a character or two undertake are logical and informative. A giant comet impacts Earth, and the fall of society is inevitable. I've read it three times, over the years.
