Im sure most of you remember the game Duck Hunting for the original Nintendo system right? Well picture a game with crysis graphics,on a next gen system, and the controls are guns ( M4,M16,Handguns,Etc.) Now all guns are purchasable Rifles will be 20+,handguns 10+ and so on so forth, now the idea i liked most was that when u run out u have to take out the magazine and reload it and cock it,just like real life, the grenade is a ball with a censor u gripped thro like animate it and u fight in full destructible enviroments, vehicles there will be a steering wheel like the Racing games, planes and helicopters will be joysticks. I think itd be awesome,Comments wanted.

Can only imagine the media backlash.

Although to a degree the Wii accomplishes this with its Zapper attachment thing and its yet to be released steering wheel.

I think it would cost a lot of money to buy all those guns for the game.
~Cheese~
Not so good idea.
BiffSplitkins
I can see the future now. The goverment will have gaming/virtual gun control laws.
crtbud
I've had ideas for games with a concept similar to this, but it's not practical
Softix
I think it is a good idea considering that I have played duck hunting before. And looking forward to it since am going to introduced it to my niece.
Xenojjin
Maybe, Maybe not. Realism is not a prime concern for making good gameplay. Its only a novelty in comparison to good level design/AI/Pace ect.

Nah it would very inexpensive, considering its only a plastic 10 dollar gun and a censor, thats about it. Cause the only way id play it is if its wireless. U can even remodel the Duck Hunting game gun,buy it bulk, start maying prototypes. Aside theyre not wirelss theyre still kick ass to shoot a duck with an M4,thats how ive been playing for about a week or two now lol..

Not as a home console idea no.

Hopefuly the Wii2 will have a better IR aimer like the arcade.
50%Beast
And why not for a home console game? btw the Wii sucked period so i have no hopes for any Wii,i had it for a day and i returned it. It was just lame and boring.Well depending on what u like to do i guess.
InHuman
IT wouldn't be feasilbe (sp) for a home console, way to many peripherials and it would be limited to certain games that would requre high production values.

Something like this in an arcade, where your put in a half circle or something wirth differnt guns would be cool if not awesome.

Well they made Guitar Hero on Mass production, theres a hell of alot of Arcade games people buy for theyre houses,i dont see ur point to be honest but ok,and as for the guns thered only be the M4,M16,as theyd run on the same thing, just different casings, the handgun, and possible a rocket launcher. And the grenade is the easiest thing to make,a lil plastic grenade with a censor in it.

Crap sry dble post, btw it would be a game in itself, wouldnt apply to like Halo 3 and CoD4 etc... It would be built ground up for the next gen consoles.
InHuman
Guitar Hero or Rockband can't be compared to what your thinking of.

Do you really think all of that (gernades, guns, lame plastic casings) would be nessacary and add anything to the experience. If your really ded set on playing "war" join the army or go at it with paintball guns.
50%Beast
Lol i do with BB guns, and Paintball guns.....And for those who are sick of a small sh**ty controller yes i think itll add a nice experience to it. Your just stuck in the mainstream of a lil controller, much like the wii.....no wonder u dont like this.....and its not called playing "war",its called a Virtual Reality Simulator, look it up some time,u might get your facts straight. Plus, thats like telling someone who does play Rock band/Guitar Hero, that they can play with a controller its the same thing,a crappy plastic casing. Thats playable with a controller to,but NO,they took it up a notch, and look at the billions theyre making. So i mean if ur bashing a billion dollars, than im gonna have to question our mentality level as well as you game tastes.

You know, I could care even less then I already do, but I'm going to reply becuase your post was very rude.

You obviously have no idea what your talking about, I get it, your a kid, and I appreciate your enthusiasm and creativity, but please try and back up your idea with a real argument (would this sell, is it worthwhile?) instead of taking a shot at my mentality level and game tastes.

kkkty.

Lol wow yea, talk as if u really know,Ok,well i can guess theres tons of other people who would buy this, and ill laugh in ur face when u do,so ttyl.

Your general idea is ok, but your approach is wrong (IMO). Not that silly plastic grenade with sensor and stuffs. I actually have thought about this one before:

1. Light weight helmet VR-like headset.
The VR that was created in the early 90s used gyroscopic technology (yes, it's the same technology that is being used for the Wii controller.. I guess).. but unfortunately it was heavy and impractical

2. A glove, with sensors and the thing that gives pressure or the "feeling" to the user's hand
This special glove should be able to create a feeling as you're carrying a certain type of gun, or even grenade... so it should be able to create or add or even decrease its "artificial mass".

3. Jacket that gives this "artificial feeling" as well to the user that makes them feels like being shot.

So uhm, it can be used not just for war games only, but other stuffs that is fun to be simulated...

.... and that would be one hella freaking expensive console...
50%Beast
They would never realese anything that would or can physically harm a person just to play a game. The pressure gloves are to complicated and the helmet is to costly... The plastic grenade makes sense, its a small ball with a censor that picks up the force of you toss, this way its more realistic. The helmet isnt a bad idea,to costly though : (.
