A police helicopter, 30 officers and a dog squad were needed to break up a teenager's party in Australia which caused £10,000 of damage.
Corey Delaney, 16, of Melbourne, could face a bill to pay for the havoc but insists it was still "the best party ever".
However, his parents, who were away on holiday at the time, are taking a different view. His mother, Jo, said: "We're a good family. I'm just devastated and horrified that this has actually occurred. Obviously he's very scared of the consequences that we're going to bring upon him."
The teenager is reported to have advertised his party on the internet and by text messages and blames gatecrashers for causing all the trouble.
Police were called by worried neighbours. When officers arrived they were greeted with a barrage of bottles and rocks. The guests were eventually dispersed with the help of a police helicopter.

its not so much as what he did which was bad enough , but his whole don't give a C**p

attitude is disgraceful and it's idiots like him that give teens a bad reputation.
apparently he's being marketed by some idiot and is even being sponserd by a clothing company...lets hope his bubble bursts soon and he learns some life skills and responsibility.and hopefully some respect.
I am an Australian parent of 2 teenage (surfer) sons, even they were disgusted.

Apparently some idiots offered to give him a job promoting parties, he's set to get paid around 50 to 100 000 for this so called 'job'.
Seriously this kid is just a tosser, no doubt about it. And should be made to pay every cent in restitution.

If he were my kid, I would be glad he had so much fun, beacuse he would be spending the next few months with a severe case of my foot in his ass, but that's just me.

Victoria state's police commissioner, Christine Nixon, told a news conference: "He needs to learn a lesson, and one way or another we will be making sure that happens."
I don't think making his parents pay 10 grand helps do that,he neds time in jail.thats my opinion.

Don't worry guys I saw on a Current Affair that Corey is back home!
A Current Affair escorted him home and reunited him with his parents, it made me come down with a case of the warm and fuzzies.
Journalism at it's peak.
This guy is such a ****, yet my 15yr old loves him.

Yeah the kids a mad tosser, but his parents are even worse, they just got done over by the oldest trick in the book. He ran away, and when he came back they were so glad to see him they barely even mentioned the party.
I don't personally think it was ALL this kids fault, the odds of some guys that weren't even invited to his party just rocking up and then when they were denied entry breaking nearby car windows and trashing front yards is pretty high... considering he lives in Melbourne. But still he acted like a total toss and i just dislike him and so do the majority of people i know.
And for the record he didn't get bashed at all, he had a one on one with some kid in a park...and yeah...they just grabbed each other and threw a few punches no one actually got bashed.
If anyone is to blame for this kids popularity its current affair and their stupid approach to this whole thing, they've done a large amount of shows on him.."corey runs away from home!" "corey gets bashed" "corey won't take off his sunnies!" if they didn't do a story on him no one would even care

Corey is a complete tosser, however he's still more interesting than most of the people who are considered to be 'news worthy', I am actually kind of happy to took advantage of the media and low standards in the way that he did.
