Batman joins Johnny Depp in crime flick.
UK, January 11, 2008 - Christian Bale is set to join Johnny Depp in the forthcoming crime drama Public Enemies, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Batman Begins star is in talks to play FBI agent Melvin Purvis in the film, which charts the American government's efforts to catch gangsters Jon Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd.
Purvis led the hunt for Dillinger (to be played by Depp) and uttered the immortal words "stick 'em up Johnny" when he finally captured the gangster. He also arrested more "public enemies" than any agent in FBI history.
Bale will play FBI legend Melvin Purvis in Public Enemies.
Michael Mann is writing and directing the film, which will be based on Brian Burroughs' book Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43.

Hm. I know Bale will be a great character - he's one of a kind-an-acter, where he becomes the character instead of the character becoming him. But Depp... I find in many of his films he tries to be funny, but a few of his films he actually acts how the character is meant to be. But, we'll see, I'll look forward to it~

Did you know that Brokeback Mountain was inspired by Lord of the Rings.... Sam and Frodo were so into eachother, at the end of the third movie i was totally expecting the movie to take a complete left turn and go down on each other.
