Well.. this is my first post..
Anyway, when my school got started again after Christmas, the headmaster was standing on the stage in front of the hole school reading his boring speech welcoming everyone for a new year.
It was then I saw a human shaped black figure standing right behind him, it was no shadow cause then the figure would be on the floor. The figure was about half a head higher then him.
then suddenly it started to move, the headmaster stood still. The thing took it's arms on the headmasters shoulders and then bended his head over his neck. Almost like it did bite him, or say something in his ear. Then when he left the stage the figure floated out of its shape and faded out. The hole thing left me with a feeling of something bad, and I don't think this figure was something good. I just hope that someone maybe have seen something similar or at least maybe can explain the thing closer for me.

Were you the only one who saw it?

I think so. When I saw first saw it, I tried to stay focused cause i thought it was fun.
At first it just stood still it started moving maybe 1-3 minutes after I had detected it.
it was very tiering for my head to watch and stay focused to not lose sight of it.

Perhaps it was a harbinger of some sort? How old is your headmaster? How's his health?

If no one from the whole school saw this thing but you, then probably it was some trick of light or something that fooled your eyes.

Ok, here's a question and please think before you answer. Was it a shadow or more like a black mist?

Well I know it was no light trick. I study drama so we learn basic stuff about how lights hit the stage, plus how would you explain that it moved?
It was very clear and dark black. it looked more like a shadow when it stood behind the guy, but when he left the stage the figure dissolved into a more mist like state before disappearing.

A harbinger (in the sense that I was referring to) is usually linked with a form of symbolic prescience. Rather than get a vision of future events, the person sees something that is symbolic of what is to come. They are often associated with omens, and in many cases the terms are interchangeable. However, the harbinger doesn't always have to be something physical, it can be a projection of the subconscious, putting together subtle clues the conscious mind didn't see, and showing them to you in a symbolic way. The first thing I thought of when you described the scene was 'Death' standing behind the doomed person, that is why I asked about his age/health.

Scary, I know I would feel kind of guilty if something happens to him.
But i guess there is not much I could have done anyway.
He doesn't look sick at all, but then again I don't know him.

Death is one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse is he not? The Bible references his colour to be that of a sickly green and not black...Don't have one handy atm, but I'll look it up - or if someone else could confirm it.

I wouldnt feel guilty for seeing something. My opinion is, it could have been someone deceased, connected to him and was guiding him, nothing more, nothing less. Is it possible the spirit whispered in his ear? If so, then that would be my guess..JN

As i said, it could look like the figure whispered something in his ear.

The reason I asked if it was like a shadow (just really black and see through) or like a mist is to get some idea of what you percieved it looked like. Perception is tricky thing. I just believe your perception of this "thing" may have been a little skewed.
Now don't dismiss me as someone who doesn't believe what you saw... because I do. When i was 11 (I am 30 now) I saw what you are talking about, in my living room. My nanny also saw it when I screamed. The movements of the shadow very much mimicked a curious human. It was standing only 7 feet away, it turned towards me, into a defensive stance, and cocked its head to the side, like it was sizing me up.
Okay, back to the perception thing. Did you believe or not believe in spirits prior to this sighting? If you did believe in spirits prior to this, how do you feel about it? did you associate spirits with evil, or with something scary? Have you ever wondered why some people see orbs, some see actual imprints of humans, and why some will see dark figures or shadows?
My point is this, how you associate spirits is how you will percieve them. People who see orbs are generally analytical, people that see imprints are genuinely unafraid or have an attuned sensitivity to spirits, those who see shadows are generally on a very internal level, scared or don't understand.
I think you are sensative, although you really need to develop it. Just imagine, you could have actually seen a guide whispering instead of the scary thing biting his neck.

Interesting. I have never seen anything of this sort. However, I have heard of what people refer to as 'shadow people', who are very dark or black, like a shadow.

Well I have always believed in the paranormal. The thing I saw did not scare me in any way, it just made me very curious on what it could be.
I have a great interest in the paranormal plus I'm very afraid of it. But it so happens that the stuff I have seen did not scare me, I'm more afraid of the idea of something happening that i don't know how to handle.
Hard to explain..
But one thing I know is that the figure wasn't see through. I just got the feeling of something not good from it, but offcourse I can be mistaking. After all I don't have any control of this stuff.
