Has anyone witnessed the orange orb phenomenom that seems to be happening lately? Especially in the UK...Common sightings are 3 organge orbs in a triangular formation, but their numbers can be upto 30. They don't seem to have a common altitude or speed. I witnessed 3, high up and going at imense speed late last year, but there have been lots of reports in the UK this month alone.

Anyone have any answers/theories??

The below photo has been edited to show the relative position of these 'orbs.' Ignore the orange street lighting low down.

We had a sighting almost 13years ago where we watched 3 orange orbs stop and start make a triangle and beam down a light. It must have lasted about 5minutes at least and no we didn't have a camera though even if we did I don't think I'd have given up watching something I knew was not humanly possible to run inside and get it.

I've never heard of the ornge orb thing before an don't have on opinion on it.But in the pic you show they look like they are lights stuck to the biulding however I would like to see more pics.

Those are the orange sodium street lights...look at the top middle of the picture, there are 3 orange orbs in the sky.

Again, this photo is not the actual snap of the event, it is an edited picture of the same scene to show what the orbs looked like and their position in the sky.

Try reading up on the marketing and retail of fire balloons and lanterns in the UK...
Robbo
I have done, if the lights that I saw where stationary or slowly moving with the wind then I'd accept it. But I'd clocked the 3 I saw in perfect triangular formation and moving against the wind. It was hard to tell, but I estimated the height of the ones I saw to be much higher than those in the pic I posted...I'd say at least 30,000ft (There was a passenger jet in the area too, which I made the vague judgement from). With that in mind, I would have to say the speed was well over 2000mph.

I am willing to accept that I may have gravely misjudged the height of these things however, though stuff like fire balloons etc aren't really that available in the UK. Fireworks go on sale in November and into January. My sighting does coincide with this time...perhaps if more people can offer their sightings up we'd have a better picture.

I have emailed 10 Downing Street and the MoD about it - I got a reply telling me to wait basically until eternity for an answer, so we'll have to wait and see original.gif

What bizarre assertions.
At last count there were over 12 national importers directly retailing variants of these balloons/lanterns; they are also retailed by fireworks suppliers - which oddly enough trade all year round.
Robbo
Online suppliers maybe...I only see such things in the shops at the times specified. The times may seem odd to those outside of the UK, but November 5th is 'Bonfire Night'. No shops near me sell fireworks at any other time, none even in the city (Hull) so if they were lanterns, they would have drifted quite far.

What are the URLs of some of these 12 national importers?
Lightning88
Oh sorry.but does anyone have real pics?
Robbo
Aparently they don't come out too well, I'd like to get a video of these things if possible. I've seen one photo but it just looks like stars. I'm still more inclinded to believe that these are some sort of fire lantern, even if it is odd for this part of the UK.

Hey,

Last night on saturday, 27 april 2008 at roughly 10:30 in sheffield, UK - I saw three massive orange orbs in the sky - i ran to the window to get a closer look; they must have been 30 times the size of a star and travelling much faster than any plane.

Scared me to death!

I've made a quick mock up to show the comparison to what i saw to a normal star:

Checked in the news today and nothing... surely more people must have witnessed this.

I'd wager that spy satellites are behind a lot of these sightings, NOSS and others. They actually orbit in clusters.
Robbo
They could be satellites, but they appear as they catch sunlight, move in one direction and at a steady speed. When I spotted some I was actually tracking a normal satellite at the time, which atually lead my eyes to the part of the sky where I saw the 3 orbs. They were only the size of a 'normal star' (shown above). They were just sat there, doing nothing...I was about to look away when they shot off, no acceleration, just bang..full speed and into/over cloud cover.

Hey Robbo

Another one sees it. Have a look at a post i started in BOT over a year ago.

WOW 'Rated' ~ did it really look like that to you? Impressive.

My friend was freaked out one night by a 'string' of lights (about 7) that followed each other moving south to north and disappearing into the horizon... she said they looked like christmas lights 'a bright bluish white'...

Last friday night about midnight or so my Dad and a bunch of others were at a party in the park in Cincinnati, OH and they reported 2-3 orange glowing orbs in the sky that kinda just hung out there for a few minutes then they kinda just fadded away.

My father said they made no noise and just fadded off...

Kinda weird then in other places in the U.S. there have been similar reports of the orange orbs, this topic is the first ive heard in the UK.... id say something is deff. going on.

I've seen many diferent colored orbs.

What most do not Know is who are called aliens Have access to their spirit, which can leave their bodies. The orbs are their spirit light.

They have eternal spirits just like us, only they can leave theirs at will. Their ships travel on this spirit power. But faster travel is aquired by Spirit with out the body or ship.

Robbo
I see....and you know this how?

Surely running on 'spirit power' would drain them as a person - that would be like using my heart to pump around two bodies. I do think that maybe there are some aliens who might be on say a higher plain of existance, but then they wouldn't need ships if they have achieved a state of omnipitance (spelling?)

Another theory is that the orbs are space/atmospheric dwelling biological organisms and thus their 'body' is their ship.

I'd say thats true, as we haven't got any evidence to support your theory. It's hard enough sometimes, trying to get your head round whether aliens exist...I don't know if we could be so sure as to say how they power their ships and whether they can leave their bodies at will.
