I remember I used to watch this show all the time. Gave me the chills, but now I question if the experiences were genuine or added in by MTV.

Basically the concept was for a group of people to go check out a supposedly haunted location. After arriving, they would be asked to do accept missions/dares in order to get the prize money at the end.

Anyways, here's some clips from YouTube if you guys haven't heard of the show.

Hence why I said that some of the experiences were probably faked and added in by MTV.

This show was more funny than scary.

The only potentially scary thing about that show is if anyone saw that it was done my MTV and STILL took it seriously.

I remember the show! My two older sisters used to watch the show.

It was a freaky show. I saw an episode where they where in abandoned aylsum or something. There was a hall called the screaming hall. Because everytime someone would go into that hall, a bunch of voices would start screaming. I remember seeing a small child's doll hanging from the ceiling. Someone had to go somewhere & got something. He ran as fast as he could back to the "safe house." When he got back he said that it felt like someone was following him.

Well when you're young as hell and a little kid, anything like that will scare you.

grin2.gif Yeah I remember the show. There were several episodes that I missed.Like Sloss Furnance,Duggan Cement,Buck Hill Inn,etc. Though I did manage to see most of the episodes.Ghost Hunters invovles the Atlantic Paranormal Society also known as TAPS.They try to be scientific in their investigations.I liked the episode where they were at the Lisheen Ruins in Ireland and caught the face of a spirit on camera.
They are professionals.

The people on MTV"s Fear where mainly college students. They were doing the dares to collect money.
I thought that some of the dares were crazy, especially anything that involved rituals of one kind or another.
If the rituals worked, who knows what might have come through.
Also,MTV's Fear went to Mina de Estrellas ,a mine and Hacienda Tabi, both are real places in the Yucatan. How they found about about these places in Mexico I don't know. Ghost Hunters with the crew from TAPS has not been to Mexico.

With the new show,Ghost Hunters International with various TAPS members Brian,Andy,Donna, etc. I wonder if they will go to Vlad the Impaler's castle in Romainia, and Poveglia Island near Venice and the Abbey of Lucedio in northern Italy.
These places were on the show Scariest Places on Earth hosted by Linda Blair.

When I was younger I used to think this show was hilarious. Screaming MTV nitwits running from contrived situations, always good for a laugh. They even tried a similar version just a year or two ago on VH-1 with B- List celebrities doing the same thing. Nothing better than Gary Busey "communicating" with the spirits of the dead! rolleyes.gif

What year did that come out because I don't remember it?

I believe I seen a portion of one episode... It seems they put a cloth or hood over the heads of the people going in, and one girl was so scared she regurgitated... at that point I decided it was more of a "shocker" or "gross out" show and never watched it again...

I used to watch it for entertainment, they would scare themselves silly in every episode... laugh.gif
