A man is on a cliff facing the ocean in hawaii. He is wearing lead weighted shoes to drown and their is a noose around his neck. He is holding a gun in one hand and a vial of poison in the other. He is gonna die one way or another. He jumps and swallows the poison but... The gun shoots through the rope so he plunges and the boots break the water tension. He swallows to much seawater and vomits the poison back up. He takes this as a sign and kicks his boots off and floats to the surface... a survivor

Sound more like a riddle to me. You know, "a man has lead-weighted shoes on, and a vial of poison in his hand etc., but survives without the assistance of any other people. Why?"

Dude this is probally one of my favourite stories. I see it as god saying your life is worth alot so dont end it live it through.

I've never heard it, either. And it is plausible sounding, like Elite said.

Unless of course you take in to note the Mythbusters testing out the myth of being able to shoot through rope. After many tests with different caliber weapons... they failed. All they ever managed to do was put a slight fray in the rope.
