Hey, I'm not new to these boards, I've just made another account so don't welcome me to UM.

Alright here's the story:

I have a strange ability to make lightweight objects stick to my hands. Right now, I am 13 going on 14 so I am a bit confused, and I know that some of you are experts on the paranormal. Anyways, I discovered this while I was in the fourth grade, four years ago. I was resting my head on my arm, one of my hands was on my open textbook for about thirty seconds. The teacher called on me and I yelped, and the whole page ripped, with my hand on it still. She looked at me oddly and called on somebody else while I tried to discover how that happened. She came to me after class and told me to get the page taped or I'd have to pay for the book.
For four years, I thought anybody could do it (make things stick to my palms). But this year, I was doing it in Spanish with my pencil, and this girl looks amazed at me and asks how I made it stuck. I told her anybody could do it, and she calls her friends over and nobody could do it. People started being skeptical, and one even dared me to wash my hands (two others came with me for witnissing) and then do it. I could still do it with ease. I never really realised that I could do the following things with them up until recently:

-I could open up a hardcover book and turn it's pages without using my fingers, just my palms.

-I can make a pencil stick to my hand, and carry it around like that, my highest time of carrying it being five whole minutes.

I know some will be skeptical and think I am lying, but I am not. Honestly, I swear and I'm curious. I'm asking you guys for some answers, not to argue and call me a liar, which I am not. My chemistry teacher told me that I only have sweaty palms, and told the whole class it was just a trick. None of them believed him, as I showed it to them constantly, any time of the day.

Any answers?

There is something called mucoid sweat. A dermatologist would be able to advise you about that.

In fairness to your teacher, he may have misunderstood the phrase "sticky palms" to mean simply sweaty palms.

Good luck with it.

I'll look into it, thanks.

I can do the same thing but with my fingers. You're making too much of a big deal about it. It's useless and nothing paranormal or unexplained I'm sure.

He's right, this has nothing to do with paranormal or something unexplained. At the most, it's a medical condition like the other guy said.

How long did you wait after washing before you stuck it to your hand again? Do you have abnormally sweaty hands or anything like that?

My hands can be wet when I do it. My personal theory is that it has to do with the pores on the hand being a certain way, like suction cups. One of these "magnetic" people was proven to have a similar skin condition.

I suppose you could have extra large pores on your hands so when you press it releases the air inside them which thus, creates suction.
