i do!!!!!!!! plus they are doing a show on Wright Patterson Air Force Base. the second largest air force base in the country (US), and i go there all the time, i live like 2 minutes away from it and my mom works there...in the parts that are haunted but she always begs her boss not to send her down there alone. She is like a cleaning lady...nothing actually to do with the military, anyways its a big story here in my town, fairborn. I love the show

The show itself is in a Reality Television format with scripts. As well as this, the story lines are often intertwined and the people develop catch phrases. This adds a sense of false reality. From what I know TAPS was founded in 1990, and in 2004 they landed the show. So the ghost hunting and the organization is real, but they were set in a TV show which alters the sense of reality - Like all reality TV shows. Because reality TV shows are not real...

It's one of my favorite shows, I'm not sure how I feel about the international one though! I for the most part enjoy watching them debunk and investigate, but, the shows where they have gotten genuine proof that there is spirits it I haven't seen or heard of them "helping" the spirits to pass on, or getting someone else to! They just seem to investigate and then...on to the next one! And I don't feel that in most of the cases they don't stay long enough, I mean you can't go into a place and expect to get something in one or two hours, or four hours, it could take days, etc. I myself investigate not for debunking but just trying to capture any kind of supernatural activity! I personally have not come across anything yet to "help" but when and if I do, they are so many resources out there such as on the net, to figure out how to help these spirits to move on and I feel that should be part of investigations!

Just a thought d'ont go out in the day pal you might die from overexposure to shadows. But all in all an ok show.

I hear ya. I also think he fabricates things and even plants evidence (as with the chair on its' side). He certainly ruins the air of dignified research, and reputable investigation.

I really like the show for three main reasons.
1) The team is very skeptical - especially the bald co-owner. It's take a mountain of evidence to convince him a place is haunted.
2) The show itself is actually quite interesting to watch
3) Very entertaining

Taps is definetly one of my favorite shows . And I agree that Jay is very hard to convince that it is a haunting , which is good . Also like the approach they take on evidence , they try to de-bunk anything that happens so they can prove that it really happened .

Thats funny about Brian, I thought I was the only one who realizes that he always sees shadows almost in every episode. Ive been watching the New GHI show and he is still the only one who always sees a shadow. I think he just likes to be in the spot light. I for one can not stand him or Andy who always is the debunker. That all he ever says, and thinks he debunks everything. GHI is very bad compared to TAPS. Never catch hardly any evidence. Oh well.

I dislike the show for this same reason. It is not good investigative technique to readily dismiss everything else once one evidence is found to substantiate another (or rational) theory. If you find a fingerprint, you don't arrest the first person that comes along just because they have fingers. At the same time, believers should,'t jump to conclusions either. But eefective investigatory techniques involve meticulous scrutiny of ALL the evidence...not just the most plausible and convenient. Ockhams Razor loses its' credibility when applied to the preternatural. Digging is essential. ~Jackal

Debunking is a waste of time and man power. Simply because the fantastic, is discarded in favor of the obvious (which is not always correct). ~Jackal

And they never will if they keep tossing it aside because it is possible a moth flew by, or a speck of dust reflected some light. I once saw GH debunk a shadow person, when the figured out they could duplicate the photo by bouncing an infrared reflection back to a handheld camera. Of course, not everyone carries around and infrared reflector, lol. But that seemed to escape their logic.
I'm pretty sure I'm not using the correct terminology for the instrument in question. But I do remember I thought it was incredible that they would think that an ordinary employee would go to such lengths with such specialized equipment. The girl that said she took the photo, wasn't even capable of pronouncing the instruments they were expounding on. I thought it was hilariously stupid, and defining of the entire concept of their investigations.
