It's been a few months since I last did any artwork for this thread. Recent events though have inspired a new piece though.

Heart Blood

I know... not as cheery as my other work... but such is Life, eh?

Nice media images. Do you do all these from scratch or do you find images and filter them? Your contemporary art creations are fantastic though.
MichaelS
I usually find images and manipulate them, though a few of them are donated by friends. original.gif

Well very beautiful I love the goddess theme going on too if that is even what you have in mind. It does seem to me very much a celebration of the goddess energy.

I knew that as soon as I looked at them...

I suggest if you want to make real art you do something original instead of merely running pictures through a few filters in PSP or photoshop.

You got good taste but you should make something original and creative.

Hi there,

Some spectacular artwork Michael. Really i thumbsup.gif mpressed. 'Cool Heat' is my fave. Why has the latest pic been removed? dontgetit.gif
MichaelS
Clovis, I have a fine appreciation for women, and enjoy the various ways that they can portrayed.

Dickie, It hasn't been removed... It's just in the last post of the first page of this thread. original.gif

Athiest God, I do a lot of hand drawn stuff too... but they're poster size, so hard to scan, and photos of them never seem to turn out right. As for the "real art" comment... Art is in the eye of those that see it. If you showed me a painting with three stripes on it, and a circle, I might tell you it sucks- but the person beside me might think that it's great. I think of my digital photo manipulation as a electronic form of collage... which is a collection of graphic elements taken from various sources combined to create a unified image.

Though some of my graphics are single photos that have been modified, most of them are actually pieces of various photos. The Heart Blood one is was actually four differant images. that I modified, and combined.

You may not agree with my style of graphic communication, but I would appreciate it if you wouldn't demean it by saying it's not "real art".

Thank you.

I think this artists work is original and creative. Your suggestion could cause offence. Define what you percieve as 'real art'? unsure.gif
