Hello since I have seen Dr. Imoto`s experiments with water and emotions I have become a soft skeptic which means I am highly skeptical of the extreme but I have softened my skepticism of the small, also I may have had an experience today.

It is the middle of winter ware I live and it can be felt every ware, it is the cold that creeps through your skin to your very core. I finished my final exams in my tech class so I left the school, and began walking home. I stopped by my church, I found the church closed (this is on Friday) so I took the long way home, now for about a mile after walking from the church I would see from the corner of my eye a man, more like a shadow man. He would walk, and when I faced it it would fade away as I turned, it was like a saw him and did not, now I was walking by a small forested area, for whatever that may mean. It may have been some sort of illusion.

This all happened in the bright of day.

Did I mention a few days earlier a wake was held their? I do not know if that means anything though.

Either a shadow man... Or you're making it up. Because you actually typed 'I am embarrassed' when you are completely anonymous on here, I lean to the latter. Sorry.

You decide what to do.

I am embarrassed because I have spoken against the metaphysical, see what I mean?

cmon carrion....chillax. we know we're "anonymous" on here, but I know what he's trying to say. Not everyone is as open to revealing their experiences, especially when you get posters on here that make fun of you, or question your honesty. His story isn't that wild and crazy for him/her to lie about. I mean, this individual did say it coul've been an optical illusion. Just giving this person the benefit of the doubt. And by the way O.P., I keep referring to you as him. Perhaps you're a her. Sorry if you are.

No sorry, I don't see. Seems to me like you are speaking in support of the metaphysical... and you're definitley in the right place for that !!!!

I guess that none of us are in possession of enough evidence to make an educated decision either way about what you saw. You could try to replicate the sighting, see if you can get another person to see the figure as well. Maybe try to find out from local records if anything similar has been seen or felt by anyone else in the past and talk to them.

Though one thing I think you shouldn't do, heavensent9904, is to 'give the benefit of the doubt' and believe the extreme just because you can. That's just patronizing.

hello there
first of of lets clarify a few things here
what that Imoto person said, was that we can bless the water which in turn changes its crystalline structure and its very likely to clear / clean it from debris and other harmful substances.
so water has also consciousness and it is a living thing. If we accept this to be a fact, -then same as all living things -, our emotions can influence them and relate with each other accordingly.!

'What you see and not see', sounds to be a spirit that you perceive within your peripheral vision and its more likely to be one of your guardian angels

no need to be embarrassed about anything; you either say what you have to say or not! original.gif

As any type of skeptic you probably want to say you didnt see it , but by saying you were embarrased by it is telling yourself that you did . As for the Shadow Man , they are usually seen through your periferal vision .(close enough ) By using that vision when you look at it traight on , it is going to fade out . Only you can say whether you saw him or not .

Ahem, I have a mental stance of my own, even if their is evidence against my skepticism I will mention it, instead of dining it. The embarrassment is relating the info against a stance you have.

I have half a mind to say he was in your imagination tongue.gif
Neognosis
You saw something in your perifereal vision. The data was incomplete, and your brain could not make a conhesive image out of the sketchy and partial perifereal data, so your brain filled in the gaps with an image it could make sense of...a person.

This is a very common phenenoma, and is responsible for many "sightings" from ghosts to bigfoot.

Because you are at least somewhat rational and thoughtful, you have not come out and claimed a definite paranormal experience, but many do.
Snake022
it could be a many number of things.

i believe shadow people are real... because i have had some experiences that arnt just my imagination.

but that dosent mean thats what you saw.

i dont know for sure..

what did it look like, can you describe it in more detail?
