Hello! I'd like to share a personal experience dealing with dreams. I hope you all read with an open mind! =)

During the summer of 2006 I traveled to Latin America. My time there was very spiritual. I would say I grew a lot within myself and developed a lot of new ideas on life's meanings, so on and so forth.

I spent two weeks away. During my second week I had a dream. I am walking down a cobblestone road, one that could have been seen in a number of towns I had traveled to. I enter a pub and I am sitting and enjoying the company of friends. Suddenly a black out occurs. I know it is a black out because panic ensues. My memory of the dream is that it is completely dark and I find myself crawling on the floor to find light. I wake up to find myself out of my room crawling on the ground in the hallway.

The next night I have the same dream but I am now in a different location. A place that is very similar to one I have seen during my trip. A black out occurs and I am looking for light, again I wake up and I am under my bed.

This continues for the duration of my trip. The dream takes place in a familiar Latin America location, a black out occurs, and I am set to find the light. Every single time I wake up in the night in a unusual location of my room, or hall way. The last day of my trip I am curious if these dreams will continue now that I am returning home to the states.

I arrive home and go to bed for the night and sure enough the dream occurs, but instead I am on the plane home. I remember the hostess asking me if I am comfortable. I tell her yes. She asks if I enjoyed my trip. I tell her yes. She gives me a feeling, as if I was talking to someone I knew like a sister or aunt. As usual a black out occurs. I am on the floor of plane searching for something. The hostess is with me and she says to me "The light are out." I ask "Are you keeping them out?" And she replies "No you are"

I wake up in the corner of my room and the dreams have never occurred again since.

interesting. I'll have to check a dream dicotionary. when she says "no you are" as in keeping the lights out...I think that has some ppowerful meaning. Do you have any interpretations?
Ebonykrow
Personally, I find dream dictionaries aren't useful. No one's dream has the same meaning, like a word.

The last dream doesn't seem to match up with the original interpretation I had of the first dreams you had, but now that I think about it, I think there's something deeper. Perhaps you're keeping something from yourself? When you said you were you developed, and grew, partly in the world of spirituality, am I correct? There may still be things you need to uncover, important things, perhaps to your heritage, your past, your true self, but in order to find them, you must accept that these things may lead you astray, or down an uncomfortable path. Everyone has things we'd rather not know, and maybe your inner-self thinks it's time for you to see those things. The connection with Latin America may well be that you lived a past life there, or are some how spiritually connected in a great way with the area. Study yourself--not just mentally, but your family, your lineage--study Latin America, and try to unveil those things again.

Oh yes, I spent a tremendous amount of time looking for a meaning. I of course would like an outsiders opinion. Maybe there is something I am missing, you know? Thank you for your input. I will look into any connections with Latin America.

Let me add, I have been curious whether the dreams would begin again if I traveled back. Wouldn't that be something...

the last dream you had really seemed enlightening, your keeing the lights out, she really describes how much power you have in your dreams, im not sure exactly what she meant though.

what were you looking for in the dreams? that is the question you need answerd. I'm guessing it wasen't a flash light.
Lightning88
Did you ever remember what you were looking for?

Interesting dreams your having , definitely has a meaning behind it . I am not sure of the author , but there is a book that I used to own Titled " Book of Dreams " . It would cover every type of dream and tell you exactly the meaning or cause of your dreams . Hope you can find it .

I totally get it.. wow. Ok Ok, you were looking for other spiritual meanings to "life" in Latin America. This means you were soul searching etc., within yourself. Then the black out dreams started. This was your inner self saying to you, that you were actually creating dark forces with your search. The stewardess figure represents that you already had the light, and in your search, you were actually going down the wrong path. The light was always within you before you went on your search. The stewardess was just saying to you in essence that you already had the "light" (or the answers) before you went looking in all of the wrong places. So she was saying to you, that YOU were keeping the light (or knowledge) out by your own accord. So, in other words, you were creating a wrong path by looking in the wrong places. You already had the light to begin with and as you settled back down in your normal life again back in the states, you started to think as you did before, and the dreams then ceased.
