hi all!! since i was a little girl i am always fascinated with angel stories and spirit guides. i just know they are real coz there were times that i was saved by one. you know when there's a voice in your head telling you to do something, you might not understand at first and when you did what the voice told you then that is the time that you would understand. this happened to me recently, i was on my way home. There are two different routes on my way to our house. i usually take the shortcut but that night a voice told me to go the other way. i don't know what's the deal but i did what the voice told me to do so. the next morning, my mom told me that a group of teenagers in disagreement fought in violence and ended up hurting a by passer. the incident happened the same time when i went home last night. so i thought that maybe if i took the shortcut i will also get hurt just like what happened to the guy who happens to pass by the incident.
so i was wondering if you peeps know how to get in touch with your spirit guides. guess i just want to know this someone who protects me all the time and Can anyone share their experiences with their spirit guides as well. i also what to ask if our spirit guides are our dead love ones.

my brother and his wife went out to buy some stuff for their baby. they asked me to baby sit since i was free one Saturday night.
since my nephew was sleeping at the moment, i decided to take a nap. few minutes later, i was awakened by a voice telling me to check on the baby. and darn it! he was on the floor looking and smiling at me. how did that happened? i saw his crib, the other side wasn't locked so i guess the baby slid unto this side. but it looks like he was not hurt, because if he is, he would definitely cried aloud. i checked if there were scratches or signs that he got hurt but there wasn't any sign that tells me that he was really hurt. oh well!! that gave me the conclusion that the little guy was saved by his angel.

Hmmm. Different for all. I can share me... big picture - heritage, personal things, events, people. Meditation I can't help with. Born with it and I just drop out to zone and no brain waves. More of a timeout and mental escape for recovery than anything else.
Native American - got me own spirit guide for some things that shows up when I need it. In dreams and physical situations.
Personal - I have been me own guide and guardian thru inner voice and past life ticks when needed it just tickles.
Events - got me they just do their thing maybe a combo of me inside knowing the right thing and bailing out of a bad or my guardians.
People - all me family are dead over 25 years ago. They are always around me and saving me. Outright come to me and knock me in the head directly when needed. Lots of them. Some have finally moved on now I'm more ok and to join them at some point.
Anyways now it's a two-way street. Live people I help when I feel something sharp poking me to so or say something; others say the most 'coincidental' things. Sometimes it's both. Dead people same thing. We help each other to learn, do the right thing or for them move on finally.
So - my picture is complicated I guess. Details, details, everything plays a part for me. Good luck.
Although as an afterthought... I have meditated and focused on a deceased guide for 20 years I hadn't heard from. I contacted and learned he had moved on finally; I did not need his help anymore and it was his time to go... forward. I miss him but it is how it works I guess.

From all the new agey books I read in the 90s, getting in touch with spirit guides, like most everything else, can be accomplished through not necessarily meditation (I can't do it either) but creative visualization, and allowing images and words to drift into your mind.
Meditation is probably the best way to meet your spirit guide but if that is not an option, you could try asking your spirit guide to meet you while you are asleep. Before you go to sleep focus on meeting your spirit guide in your dreams. You could also try writing a message to your spirit guide on a piece of paper and sleeping with it under your pillow...

sorry to be a pain but does anyone have the time and patience to explain the best way to meditate so to meet my spirit guide? Me and a friend might be taking a meditation course in march sometime so chances are that will be very useful but in the meantime any hints and tips?

I dont very much bout Buddhism.. But I do know that is the prayer chant most use when praying to/at a buddhist shrine. My second cousin is half Japanese(okinawan) and his mother(Japanese) is a devout Buddhist. That is the prayer chant she uses when praying. Hope that is helpful

if you can Project, you just ask "i am looking for my spirit guide" or "i would like to talk to my guide"
sometimes the simple answers are the easiest. you never know, maybe they are talking to us all the time but we are too stubborn to listen to them lol.

i see..but how will i know it is my spirit guide and not some random entity or something darker?
you will find what you want to find, if you don't believe them, just ask them questions that only you should know. getting to know them isn't any different then getting to know anyone.

I've tried this around 3 times...while I was astral projecting...and no one came..
except for possibly once, but that time I barely remember it cuz it was so dreamlike
(but like seriously the times when I've been most conscious, no one has come..

it might depend on your vibrational level. i'm not sure how close they stay to this level. maybe they come to you when you need them most.
"getting in touch with your spirit guide" is that what those crazy kids call it these days? when Hannah hall does that fake moan thing in Halloween remake it makes me want to get in touch my my spirit guide!

Since your question is very similar to that one of another person whom asked me, I will paste the answers I sent to him - ignore the part about the haunted house as this is not something you seem to have a problem with, but all the rest you should take notice of and it will greatly improve your skills and connection with the divine masters such as your own spirit guides and guardian angels, as well as the mighty arch angels. Here goes:
In any case, regarding the spirit guides and guardian angels etc, you can do a ritual first to evoke the arch angels and ask them to watch over and protect you and ask them to make sure only your own personal spirit guides and guardian angels are allowed to enter and contact you. I highly recommend you to always perform the LBRP as outlined above before any spiritual work as it protects you and at same time strengthens your abilities and expands your aura and cleanses you and your surroundings for any negative energies.
Then do your astral projection, call on spirit guides etc, actually I add a specific part while doing the LBRP where I do the following: after evoking the arch angels, I ask them for help and guidance, protection and healing etc, then I write a letter to my spirit guides and guardian angels, and read it out for them and ask them to be the witnesses and to carry the message out to my guardian angels and spirit guides and make sure it reaches them (in the letter i basically ask them to please be with me on my side, to help and assist me, and to reveal themselves for me and heal, protect and guide me and so on).
Then after the whole ritual, I do another ritual where I burn the letter ritualistically and imagine the letter going up through the smoke to the astral planes reaching my angels and spirit guides.
I also have a second letter I have written to them, that I always have in front of me on my altar when doing the rituals and also read out loud for the arch angels, but this second letter I keep and put under my pillow every night, and I also read it out loud to my angels or just in silence before going to bed with it under my pillow.

So don't be surprised if you see the arch angels appear for you in the mirror. Make sure to ask if they really are the Angels of God himself, and that only the true angels of God are allowed to appear.
Don't worry if you hear a voice when you ask for the contact - after all you ARE asking them to contact you so that can happen in many ways, such as actually hearing them or even seeing them like in the example above. Just make sure to do the LBRP protection ritual first , write the letters I mentioned, ask God and the Arch Angels to protect you and guide you and help to make sure only your true and real spirit guides and guardian angels will be allowed, and you should be fine.
And in the end, know that no harm can be done to you, if you meet any spirits when projecting, all they can do at most is communicate.
Well don't worry, try out some of my suggestion and try learn that ritual I told you about and do that on a daily basis (both morning and night is optimal, and every time before trying any psychic/spiritual work) and you will cleanse the apartment as well as yourself for any other spirits or negative energies. In addition, at the point of evoking the archangels, ask them to guide the spirit(s) who are trapped and haunting the house to their right destination under the protection and love of God. You may also ask your spirit guides and guardian angels to help you with this task and include this as a message to them in the letter I mentioned you could write to them, one you burn as a ritual after all the other rituals (LBRP etc), and one you keep under your pillow at night and read out for yourself before going to bed every day.
In addition, you can do like I did, get a crystal, quartz is good, and one that is nice and fits easily into your pocket, and at the moment of manifestation of the arch angels, ask them to fill the crystal with their powers of protection, love, healing and guidance and all powers they possess to always be with you - and you may ask your spirit guides and guardian angels to help boost the power of the crystal by filling it with some of their energies as well. Do this every time you do the ritual, and keep the crystal with you in the pocket at daytime, and put it under your pillow at night when going to sleep.
This way you are creating ultimate protection for yourself as well as a method of getting in touch with your spirit helpers in an easier and quicker way.
Remember the "License to Depart" part of the rituals as I mentioned, on that link I gave you on how to perform the rituals. When doing the License to Depart, also make this include the spirits that are already there and that is haunting the place and tell them they are now free and can go in peace and love by the protection of God to where they belong and no longer need to be trapped here on earth.

That almost dream state is what ur shooting for..trick is to keep ur consciencousness aware. I recently made contact(thanx to DarkBreed's guidance and advice, cheers mate). If u cant I suggest researching meditation, it will help u to keep ur awareness when trying to make contact. WARNING the first time u make contact it WILL scare the poop outta you!!! Try to stay calm and apologize if u accidentally break contact as i did on my first try
Keep trying and eventually u will get the swing of it

sorry to hear you weren't able to contact them, start small and contact anyone. i would try and raise your frequency a little, avoid contacting anyone on the lower plane. i think the higher planes are more focused. in the lower plane, you are subject to the dream plane and i think it's a lot more random. if you are on this plane, you are subject to lower entities that may not even know how they got there lol.
