What do you guys think about this guy and this interview?
He really does have an IQ of 190-210. This isn't just some crap from some crazy ass dude.
20/20 had a psycologist give him some certain IQ test, not sure the name, but he was amazed at this guys intelligence. Said he scored higher than anyone he has ever given the test to (and he has given to the to many geniuses). It completely blew him away, and I'm sure if 20/20 hired him, he has seen some smart ass people.

"Here’s another way to think about this. Think about how much smarter you are than a really, really mentally r3tarded person. (WTF they bleep r******ed? A word found in the dictionary, ok.. stupid spam filters)
An average person’s IQ is about 100, and that really r3tarded person is maybe 65 for a measly 35 point difference. Well, the deficit between Chris and the average person is nearly 300% greater! Heck, the difference between him and a genius is as great as the difference between a genius and a r3tarded person!

Now, imagine if you were that much smarter than every single living person around! Actually, don’t bother. Your puny brain probably doesn’t have the capacity to imagine that… Damn. I guess I’d be bitter too. It reminds me of the movie Idiocracy."

Having an IQ of 190-210 doesn't make him the smartest man in the world. (there is actually a man who has an IQ of 210. Google it.) But the fact that he has an IQ of 190-210 and has probably a broader perspective on reality and the universe around us, in a way that no one of lesser intelligence could even comprehend does mean the he is one of, if not the smartest people in the world.
I think he puts it well when he says what he thinks is the qualifications for being the smartest, being able to comprehend anything that anyone who believes they are the smartest thinks, but can they comprehend his way of thinking?

Oh and my views on God and the mind go hand in hand with what he believes. Glee happy.gif

Hmmm... superior intelligence has its drawbacks... take a look at Einstein, some days his reading disorder was so bad that he did not find his way home....

Yeah, I'd much rather be smart and have good social skills too, than a genius and have none. When you're that smart you start having problems; as this guy clearly does, and many of the greatest minds in history have had.
Dowdy
This guy comes off as very arrogant and thinks little of everyone else.

A wasted talent though, hes a bouncer

I reckon the establishment (scientific community etc) shunned this Langan dude cos he's down to earth & doesn't take/listen crap from anyone especially mainstream. That might also explain that slight touch of arrogance, i don't blame him...

Just my take on it, Cool clip anyway.

Hmmm, well I watched all 3 videos, and although I think he's got some great ideas, I got creeped out at the beginning of the 3rd video.

He wants to implement something similar to the "Manhattan Project" for birth control???

He thinks we should have all children implanted by age 10. Implanted with what? huh.gif

If he was in charge he'd require all to apply for screening and approval before they have children.

He feels that only fit people should breed. Uh, ok.

Oy...I don't know about this fellow. He may be smart, but I don't think...based on what I've seen, that he's "da man" to bring positive change to our world.

Hitler comes to mind.

The fact that he appears to still have issues about his childhood sends up red flags for me.

jmo based on a 30 minute interview. *shrugs*

Funny, I'm not sure I remember him ever mentioning the word "love". hmm.gif

Legatus Legionis

I hear ya IS & good points. thumbsup.gif
Correct me if i'm wrong here but i understood him as saying in the 3rd vid as eradicating disease & genetic defects so on etc through early detection in children & possibly even in parents before having children as to make it obsolete in future generations not as a form of 'Hitler style eugenics'. But then anything like this becomes rife for exploitation and abuse in the wrong hands.

If he's talk'n about what i think i think he's talking about.....err screw him then, i'm dead against the idea.

Yeah, i agree 30mins doesn't really cut it for me either but that was just my brief take on it also.
You picked up on something i didn't, women have a knack for seeing things like that before us men, kinda open my eyes a little there.

Ahhhh yes love sweet love. lol! Maybe in this day and age of fast paced troubled times he sees it as a sign of weakness???
After all the man went thru a lot of childhood mental & physical abuse. As someone mentioned earlier 'having that much talent has it's drawback & or comes at a price.
