Ring Tailed Lemur
Remember when you were a teenager (or like me still are one) and would go completely crazy over some band or actor or whatnot. When you wouldn't even think about anything else other than these people and were conviced that you were their biggest fan. Well I am obsessed with this band and just recently saw them in concert so I made this topic so I could share my story and you guys can share yours.

Now my band isn't one alot of teenage girls are into, (most don't know who they are) but these guys are my life. They are The Arrogant Worms. For those who have never heard of them, (which I think would be most) they are a Candian comedy folk group (though they parody lots of different genres of music) who sing about things like cows, sponges and the murderous ways of eating vegetables. Unlike most teenage girls do when they have band obssesions, I do not think they are the hottest guys since ever (seriously, they're my moms age). I just think they're awesome. So when i found out they were coming to my cousins town, I ran laps around my house for a hour.

Me and my cousin Amber are more like best friends than cousins (3rd cousins actually) and like all the same things, including the Worms. We found out we were going 53 days in advance and counted down until the end, not to mention talk on msn in caps for weeks.

So anyway, the concert was on January 25, so I'll give ya a complete summary of my entire day.

I got up and after crossing off the last box on my countdown, ran to my hamsters, Alastor and Kintana, and told them what day it was. I ran to school and reminded/yelled across the field to my friends what I was doing tonight. They all made sure not to mention the words "arrogant" or "worms" to avoid me imploding and toturing them by not shuting up. All went pretty well until the last two periods of the day (language and art, my two favorite subjects, both taught by my favorite teacher). One of my friends mentioned Queen's University, where the Worms went and formed. I didn't shut up until the end of the day. Thankfully we had a generic work period where you could do any schoolwork you want, but most people just talked the whole time, my teacher even came over to our table and listened to me talk about the awesomeness of these guys. After the bell I ran home, got my stuff together and left for Amber's house.

After I got there I heard her little sister, Shae, yell from upstairs:

"Who was at the door?".

Amber yelled back,

"It's your favorite cousin."

"Who? Quinn?"

"No silly, Veronica!" (yes that is my real name)

"What is she doing here?"

"Oh, you're nice."

After that little conversation got to work on our poster. You see, I love the Worms, but they's one in paticular I idolize the most, the same with Amber, Trevor Strong. Our poster said "WE YOU TREVOR" and was absolutely covered in sparkles. After having some hot dogs and running down Amber's street yelling "WE LOVE YOU TREVOR!" we left for the concert. We waited in the lobby until they opened the doors and let us in. They we selling Worms CDs, they're DVD and Trevor's book, Get Stupid, in a booth in the lobby. Me and Amber ran over and both bought the book. I also got the DVD and we would decide which CDs to get later. The people at the booth told us the Worms would be coming down to do autographs and stuff. We held back our screams. Then we got let in. Now this place we were at isn't exactly a huge stadium where your seats are 300 feet from the stage, so we were about 50 feet from it. While we were waiting for it to start, we read out loud from our copies of Get Stupid. And then the lights went down...

It was dark. Too dark for him to see our poster. Oh well, we would would just show him it after. The Worms walked onto the stage. We screamed like we never screamed before. The first song they sung was "We are the beaver". I don't remember all the songs or the order so I'll just say some I remember. I recall a new one called "Big Box Store" that was pretty cool. I loved the parts where it went from Chris, to Mike, to all of them: "IT'S BIG!" "IT'S A BOX!" "IT'S A BIG BOX STORE!" Then There was "Mime Abduction", "Pressure Washer", "I Am Cow" and a few others. In "Go To Sleep, Little Leech", I pretty much had a convulsion when Trevor went; "Now I'm a father with my own child, who screams and screams and screams... AND SCREAMS AND SCREAMS AND SCREAMS AND SCREAMS AND SCREAMS AND SCREAMS!" There was also this song where Trevor messed up his hair and sung "Blah blah blah blah blah blah" at some parts. In "Rocks And Trees", they divided up the audience, half was rocks the other trees. Some random guy in the front row was water. We were trees. We would have rather been rocks. Trevor leads rocks. Next time we're sitting in the front so we can be water. I wanted Amber to yell "WE LOVE YOU TREVOR" with me but she wouldn't. During "Carrot Juice Is Murder" she told me if I waved around her camera with the backlight on like a match, she would yell with me. We yelled right after the last song, "Jesus's Brother Bob". We were kind of sad when they went off stage, but then we remembered what the person at the booth said earlier.

We ran to the lobby and both bought the CD "Beige". Amber got "Idiot Road" as well. We waited until the Worms came down and then we got in line. Amber said I had to talk because she was too shy. Now one thing you should know about me, is that I am extremely shy. So shy, that I'm still nervous around some of my teachers. I also turn bright pink whenever I'm a little scared. So I walked up to them, Amber cowering behind me;

''Hi, we're the ones that yelled ''we love you Trevor" in the concert, and we made you a sign, but it was too dark in there to see it."

I handed him the poster and they all smiled at me. They all looked at it and Trevor said;

"Wow, The sparkles really are Golden!"

He signed it; "Good Choice!" We got our books abd CDs signed and sat down at a table. We looked in our books and laughed. In Get stupid, which tells you how to be stupid and not to succeed at anything, Trevor signed "You Can't Do It!" in mine, and "Aim Low!" in Amber's. But then I remembered something i wanted to do and told Amber I wouldn't leave without doing it.

We waited until the crowds died down and there was no one around except the Worms. So I went up one more time.

"Hi again, I was wondering if I could get a picture? Cause you guys are like, my idols."

"Of course!" they said, smiling at me again "And make sure you get next to Trevor with your sign!".

Amber didn't want to be in the picture, she was too shy, so she took the picture. But then the security guard came over. At first we were both thinking the same thing;

"Oh no, he's going to take the camera away.''

But instead he asked Amber

"Don't you want to be in the picture too?"

She didn't really have a choice so she just went in between me and Chris. After the picture we said our goodbyes and went to call Amber's dad to pick us up.

I couldn't believe it. I didn't actually expect to meet them or get the picture. It couldn't have gotten any better. In my eyes that was the best day of my life. Now what about you guys. wink2.gif
