I had this posted elsewhere with no response. a couple of views but no feed back. so let me try here -

I hope this is where I can go. for some sound thoughts.

ok. my brother has been passed away for a little over 3 years now. I've dreamt alot about him, but I'm always angry because in the dreams he shows up like he's alive in the physical sense and in the dream I'm constantly telling him he's dead.

last night I was contemplating why I'm always angry in the dreams. I have a few reasons. but won't discuss them here suffice to say it really has nothing to do with my brother. I do want to talk to him however. we always said if one died we would try to talk to the other. I guess I want more than just dreams. I do think once fleetingly at night when I got up to go to the bathroom not long after he passed that I saw him sitting at the kitchen table. but I'm not sure. the mind can play tricks. it was dark and it was out of the corner of my eye.

so on to last nights dream -

it's me and him standing at the curb facing our house. he's on my left holding what I think are 2 small dead foxes ( curled up as though they were sleeping and froze to death.) One in each hand. I think they are dead when I see the one he's holding in his right hand is starting to stir.
I look at mine and still it looks dead , back at his and it's stiring a bit more , now streatched out . the other he's holding so far I haven't noticed anything except it isn't curled up but still no stiring.
I look back at mine and see it's little pink tounge starting to stick out and it's eyes starting to open.

I wake up.........

weird I know. which is why I brought it here. I do wonder what the 3 rd fox is. In the house is my gran. she's going to be 92 next month. I was wondering if maybe it was hers since getting her out of the house for me is a chore ( we have no ramp yet)

I also wonder why he and I are standing in the street at the curb which is some way from the house.

That's a very interesting dream... I can't say much other than that... a fox with it's tongue sticking out huh? Odd...

Any recollection as to why you might have been holding the foxes?

no , even in the dream I thought it was odd. they were small brown/grey foxes. the foxs' tounge sticking out where at first look it hadn't been and it's eyes were opening where it hadn't been moving. they were coming back to life I guess.

Maybe he was trying to show you even if some one or some thing appears dead physically it really isn't. Just a guess I'm no dream expert by far. I'd suggest just letting it marinate on your brain for a while and using your intuition. I've realized for me at least, over the years some times it can take a while even years till you can really understand what certain dreams mean.

Can't believe this....I just wrote quite a long reply...but it disappeared!!
(webpage cannot display this page...blah blah...)

The nitty gritty was....I was wondering if the little foxes were symbolic...or if they
were foxes who were 'passing over'....and your brother was caring for them as they
went into another dimension of existence.

Was your brother an animal lover? Or maybe the two of you had some connection with
foxes in this physical life.

I have had a few dreams where animals are 'in a bad way' and sometimes come back to life.

Good suggestion....

Hey..Lt Ripley...just had another thought when looking through 'new posts'....you have something
called Fox News in America, don't you....perhaps your brother was having a joke with you....
Ie...here's the (Fox) news.....I'm still alive!

Just a thought. original.gif

Hi Lt Ripley

I know NOTHING about dreams but find your post intriguing.

I had a look on a dream interpretation dictionary and it says this.

Road

To see a road in your dream, indicates your sense of direction and pursuit of your goals. To see a winding, curvy, or bumpy road in your dream, suggests that you will experience many obstacles and setbacks in achieving your goals. You may be met with unexpected difficulties. If the road is dark, then it reflects the darker or more frightening choices which you have made or are making.

To see a smooth road bordered by green trees and flowers, denotes a steady progress and steady climb up the social ladder. If the road is straight and narrow, then it means that your path to success is going according as planned.

To see an unknown road in your dream, signifies that you new project will cause more grief than it is worth and a waste of time.

To dream that a threatening creature is on a road, parallels a
hostile situation/person you are encountering in your waking life. It is an obstacle that you need to overcome, no matter how intimidating the situation or person may appear.

Fox

To see a fox lurking about in your dream, represents cleverness and resourcefulness. You need to use your insight and intellect to solve some problem. Perhaps you need to conceal your thoughts and/or remain silent. Alternatively, it indicates a period of isolation or loneliness. It is a good way for you to use this time to reflect.

Anger

To dream that you are holding or expressing anger, symbolizes frustrations and disappointments in your Self. You tend to repress your negative emotions or project your anger onto others. You need to look within yourself.

Being angry in your dream may have been carried over from your waking life. Dreams can function as a safe outlet where you can express your strong and/or negative emotions. You have some suppressed anger and aggression that you have not consciously acknowledged.

Interesting, it says that the foxes indicate isolation and loneliness - this really isn't surprising since you lost your brother. Also, you say you were at a curb, but I looked up road as curb and road are very alike, you are both standing at a road by the sounds of it.

It's 8 years since I lost my loved one, I haven't had a single dream in all that time. My husband has and he says it seems so real, like they're together again and like they really met.

Dreams are peculiar little brain farts...

all interesting and food for thought - that whole road thing , anger and loneliness hit home. with my gran getting more ill as am I caring for her is getting difficult and scary. and it makes me angry.

as for the foxes ? my brother loved animimals , but would have rather hunted them than kept them as pets. he was an avid hunter. I am trying to find a way to care for my gran , my self and end up with a roof over my head without her. I'm still trying to figure out how to do that. Not too many ways out there and what I do know doesn't look too good. it's all financial.

I think this dream relates but I don't need to know what I already know I need the answer to the problem.

i studied some sighns in dreams, but that'a an ancient chinese book,im not sure if it works on white ppl.

Oh, really? Not sure why you dreamed so, but I am sure your brother is saying, "Let go. You have to let go. I'm in heaven now and don't worry about me. I love you." I suspect so 'cause Mom once had a dream with my DEAD little bro in it. And he said the same thing.

Lt Ripley - I'm not surprised you're having these dreams with all this pressure around you.

Also, your gran is a lucky lady to have you taking care of her, I hope it works out alright in the end... keep us posted.

Lt...You sound as if you have an awful lot on your plate right now....Could all this be frustration that your keeping in your sub-conscious...Everything Reg found, sounds like it pertains to your last post, and you are definitely a good person for taking care of family..I know nothing about dreams, I very seldom have them, so I can't help you. But you need to take care and relieve some of the stress that you have...Sorry I'm no help, just concerned for your well being.......
Poke-Fan of Ash
Kind of. But still, maybe you're like a fragile gem falling when tragedy comes. Hey, just kidding!!
Lt_Ripley
I think what I want is a clue on what to do and what is coming next and that dream didn't help. lol

I was thinking last night about the foxes and forgot to relay that the fox my brother was holding , the one stirring , also had a black substance leaking from it's mouth.

I was thinking maybe the foxes were the only ideas that were availible to come up with . if so they don't look too good and in reality they aren't. really long shots.

I'll let all know how it unfolds as it does.
