I was recently in a car crash. The car roled over four times before landing on the roof. I myself came out of it with out a mark on me at all. My mother on the other had suffered a brocken back, anckle, and nine ribs along with a punctured lung. My father sad to say died that day.

I was just wondering if maybe i did not get hurt at all because either A. i was just plain lucky or B. maybe i have an important role to play later in life.
Please share with me what you think.

And i apologize because i did not know where to post this topic

OMG BD, I'm so very sorry about your father. sad.gif I hope your mother is recovering nicely.

I use to believe in fate, but I don't anymore. *shrugs*

I found myself wasting too much time thinking about the future, and often forgot to live in the here and now.

You were very, very fortunate to have come out unscathed...well, at least physically. crying.gif

It's great to have you back with us again, you were missed. yes.gif

Again, my condolences.

I'm now a firm believer that everything , every last thing in our lives , happens for a reason. know it or not . that our lives were cast long before we started living them. we not may always understand or agree on what happens , we may have the illusion of choice , but at the end of it all it all has purpose.

it absolutely is.i strongly believe that.

I am new to this but I believe there is a time already set for us to pass on but I also think that what small time we do have to live is up to us to make the best of.I am sorry about your losses and hope you find comfort with the people who are still with you

My condolences!

I think you were lucky but that everyone can do important things for the time they have here on earth.

That's terrible, really sad about your father, it must have been really traumatic for you.

I personally don't believe in fate, I think you were very lucky not to have been hurt, but when we have life and death situations it can make us stop in our tracks and look at life differently. All of a sudden, you don't take life for granted anymore because you know the outcome could have been very different.

The crash will have been a life changing moment for you, because of your dad - but do you think your own outlook on life has changed since the accident?

I agree......there have been so many times in the past that I have wondered "why" and later in life always found out why....
Although I do think we have a degree of choice, but major things in our lives I believe to happen for a reason.

original.gif I feel for your loss! sad.gif I do think that our lives are pre-determined when we are conceived.I personally believe that our lives are mapped out for us at that early stage, everything is pre-determined.Not that that brings comfort when a tragedy occurs in our lives. We can only deal with thing's the best way possible,as everyone has their own opinions on things to.I do hope you find the best way for you to deal with things. original.gif

Blue Dragon,

I am very sorry to hear about your dad and really hope your mum is strong and recovers well. My thoughts are with you and her.
I do think we partly have a free will and make our own choices in life. But I also believe the very big things, like death, are pre-determined. Not so much how we die, but when we die.
It wasn't your time, that's why you are still here.

I hope that both you and your mum will soon be able to appreciate the good times you had with your dad and be grateful for those, instead of wondering what could have been. I know this will require a huge amount of strength, but I am sure you will be fine.

My thoughts are with you.

Lucky
