I hope the topic of past lives finds its home at this forum. For a long time I have believed in reincarnation and the fact that there is only so much energy in the universe and thus must be recycled. Hence, our spirit essences are recycled . Please forgive me if I don't use the technical terms for what I describe. What I would really like to relate is this:

***For many years now, I experience below my left shoulder in the clavicle area. Since it is sporadic and can be relieved by ibuprofen, I have never sought medical attention. When I describe the pain to myself or others, this is what I ffel....it's like the recoil of a rifle that has been rested in that area for balance or being hit there by a rifle butt. Honestly, this has never happened before . I have never even touched a gun, gone hunting etc...So, my conclusion is that in a past life of mine I must have experienced that.

***Another one...sometimes I wake up in the morning and exclaim..God, I feel like I've been hit by a truck...is it just an expression or in a past life was I hit by a truck?

I would appreciate any thoughts you might have or if you would like more details, please feel free to ask....

Well I use to wait up feeling like I was hit by a truck when I drank too much the night before. But seriously, I have also had the feeling that I was reincarnated and always was pulled to ancient Egypt. It was only a feeling understand but very strong. As for your experience, I cannot explain it. Perhaps you were hit by a truck or was a hunter or warrier in your past life.
It Just Is
i believe completely in reincarnation. Life is so short but fun so surely we will want to experience it again original.gif

Or perhaps your shoulder just hurts, and you'd like to think there was a reason.

It does strike me that most people who 'feel reincarnated' believe they had a glamorous job like 'warrior', or lived in a special place like Ancient Egypt. Where are the drudge maids and the dung-shovellers, don't they get to reincarnate too?

I guess I'm just saying, it would be nice to think one had 'been here before'; but it's easy to delude ourselves. I'm always on the lookout for convincing details in people's stories though, as reincarnation is a pretty groovy thought original.gif

Great point nuclear! Allthough i'm skeptical on reincarnation, I find it very interesting, lots of anecdotal evidence. original.gif

Thing isn't what you are, the mass of emotion, opinion
, love etc etc just the result of masses of physical neural pathways in your brain. which rot when you die and are never seen again. PHYSICAL being the key word.

I've had strange dreams for as long as I remember the strange thing is there is one man who I'm unable to see his face but I look the same in each of these dreams

i dont believe in reincarnation as being a linier thing.
more like many lives being lived at the same time through different dimensions.
my favorite "other self" is a balcksmith. simple but creative life.

Well yea but, the thing is if reincarnation DOES exist(I'm a christian, but in a way that dis reincarnation cause in a certain sense going to heaven is kind of being reincarnated into an immortal...) then it would hapen in an endless cycle I think. So people if they were reincarnated(if one person was I think we all would be) wouldn't remember it. And the lives thye did remember would rpolly be their glamorous ones(if there was re-incarnation then you'd be likely to have atleast ONE glamorous life) so people prolly did have bad lives, but they remember good ones...

Just a theory...

I am unsure about reincarnation, I have studied it and read about it numerously, but I still am on the fence with this one. Sometimes the claims are so possible, and other times well ....

I just have one question for you ... If you've never fired a gun how do you know that your shoulder hurts like it would from gun recoil? Maybe you should get a doctors opinion ... it would be back if it was a blood clot or something else that could really hurt you. Just a thought.

Other than that Linda, I would liek to hear more stories you have about reincarnation if you have any.

pinched nerve maybe.
a pinched nerve in the spine can manifest pain in other places in the body.

Exactly what I was going to say.

I believe in reincarnation, but I think your experiences are far too commonplace to indicate past lives effectively.

I also don't know whether past lives are true or not though I have 2 vivid of what seem like memories that randomly happened in my head one day while meditating and focusing on trying to "discover" what my past lives were. I have read and heard from others what they believed their past lives to be and they're on one hand absolutely amazing sometimes. Maybe that's my hopefulness embracing the thought that at some point in time I walked this earth before as something else. But what boggles my mind the most is when I am drawn to something so strongly for no apparent reason. And even if I search for that one connecting thread as to why I am drawn, it can't be found. All of that probably made NO sense which is fine because I ramble a LOT.

I do somewhat believe in reincarnation. It's very hard to say for sure if it's real or not. What you felt in your shoulder could just be back pain, but a way to know about your past life is by doing self hypnosis for past live regression. Of course, it depends on whether or not you actually believe what your seeing is really your past life, or just something your sub conscious conjured up.
