I have a rule these days that I only own one car at a time. The engine in my POS Audi blew out a couple of days ago, so I'm going back to modern American muscle and I'm looking for a low miles, manual tranny, vert, 2001-2006 Mustang GT. I'm glad to be goin' back to my American muscle. tongue.gif I used to own a 600hp 1997 SVT Cobra... that car was a beauty, it was featured in Mustang 5.0 Magazine as the centerfold car in Sept. 2001.

I bought a 2002 Mustang GT on Sunday. I'm in love all over again...

This is the 4th late model Mustang I've had as a daily driver. my fifth mustang in general--I just can't stay away from good American V8s. (I've had a 1995 Cobra, 1997 Cobra, 1996 GT, 2001 Cobra, and a 66 straight six). I had two others that I pretty much just bought and sold right away.

I'm pleasantly surprised with the 2002 GT I just bought, it doesn't actually feel any less powerful than the 2001 Cobra was.

I got a great deal on it, below blue book and it only has 24000 miles on it! Woo hoo! Whoever owned this laser red convertible before me must have left it in their garage and just rubbed with a diaper--it's in perfect condition.

Natrually being a muscle car fan, I've already arranged to have it outfitted with Steeda Performance springs, a Bassani X pipe, and Borla Cat backs. I just have to remind myself when to stop with the mods or it'll end up costing me a fortune to maintain. LOL

It's identical to this one:

I Love Chevelles 1970 and earlier. My first one was a white 1970 350 with a 4 barrell rochester, her name was Sexy Sadie. I regret getting rid of her.
Now I have another 1970 Chevelle, blue and completely stock, 250 6 cylinder, 4 door. I haven't named her though, just can't find the right name for her.
One day I will own a 1969 SS 454, that is my dream car!!!!

This was my muscle car I sold in 2002 (1997 SVT Ford Cobra). When I sold it, it was 584 rear wheel horsepower on the dyno. The computer said its top speed would have been 218mph, but I don't believe it. I had it up to 162mph on the race track and thought the body was going break apart even though it was reinforced with a 5pt cage and a host of other body and suspension mods. The engine might have pulled 218, but I'm pretty sure that the body wouldn't have.

That car makes my current 2002 GT convertible seem like a sissy car. LOL. (the photographs are from the Sept. 2001 issue of Mustang 5.0 magazine, sorry the print is too small to read, but I'm sure I have the article here somewhere)
MissMelsWell
This is the other SVT Cobra I had (2001), this one was completely stock except for the Bassani X Pipe exhaust. Too bad all the photographer got in the picture was my well tanned leg. LOL. It kills me I lost my yellow vert in my divorce. This photograph was taken at what's been known to be the world's largest Mustang show, which oddly is held in the town of Bellevue just east of Seattle. There were over 2400 Mustangs shown that year, taking up 5 college campus parking lots.
