I believe you meant "comet"??

At any rate, that was an asteroid, not a comet, and no one could've possibly seen it with the naked eye. Some pretty sophisticated instruments were trained on it, but it was not a celestial light show.

If it were a comet, well then, we'd have probably been seeing that one in our skies for weeks!
This was a rock, not a dirty ice ball.
