Happy Imbolc y'all.
For those who don't know, the earth-centered spiritual calender has eight holidays. the solstices, the equinoxes, and the 4 days which are half way between these 4 events. Imbolc is half-way between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox. It is the time in our planet's cycle when the first hints of life's rebirth after winter become evident. Some people believe that Imbolc means "in milk" because this is when sheep begin producing milk for the spring lambs.
For me the stretch between Yule and Imbolc always feels kind of grim. I always feel delighted by the arrival of Imbolc.

Well.. yeah, it was yesterday. Isn't there an ancient tradition that it gets extended an extra day if it falls on Super Bowl Weekend?

Imbolc was celebrated as a three day holiday, so yes you get a extra day off if you can run it by the boss. All Pagan holidays are three days. We get short changed with all these one day Christian holidays.

And to you as well.
Yeah,I despise the same stretch of time, since it's usually cold and bleak where I am during that period.I'm more of a summer puppy myself,so I prefer the warm weather holidays.
