Time: late night
An anonymous witness was awakened sometime in the middle of the night by the louder than usual barking of his neighbor’s dog. Being shaken from his slumber, he had a very strange feeling, either from something frightening going on outside, or from the remnants of a bad dream. To rule out the former he took a walk outside to see if he could pinpoint the cause of the dog’s heightened state of alarm. He was immediately drawn to a strange light in the sky. The light seemed to emanate from three separate spots, the brightest being in front of two others, creating a triangular shape. He was now awake enough to know he was staring at a triangle shaped UFO, which seemed to hover not far from his home. He ran back into the house and grabbed his video camera. He was hoping to film the unknown lights before they disappeared. Running back outside, his attention was grabbed by a muffled sound. Turning in the direction of the garbled noise, he saw a sight that shocked him. He was now looking at what he described as “small ghost-like beings” that seemed to be rummaging around behind his fence. He gained his composure enough to set his camera to record, and filmed about 4 minutes of the beings activities. The anonymous witness was frank in stating that he was a student of the paranormal and had experienced strange occurrences before, yet none as strange as what he encountered this night. The small beings soon disappeared and he never saw them again.

Does anybody have more on this? Sorry if this is a repost.

Eva Trent had fallen asleep when she awoke to a buzzing sound. Opening her eyes she was horrified to find two strange creatures standing on either side of her bed. The entity to her right was about 7-8-feet tall, weighed about 300 pounds, had apparently no clothing and seemed to have either crocodile or snake type skin. The creature to her left was identical in appearance but smaller in height and weight. They seemed to be communicating in a chirping manner. Each of the entities eyes glowed. Eva quickly discovered that she was unable to move. As she stared at the two creatures she found that either one or both were giving her instructions telepathically. The nature of this was seemingly for her to create mentally visual scenes of various kinds and then “they” proceeded to distort that particular pleasant scene in a perverse manner. Apparently the creatures were intent not only to observe her emotional reaction, but also possibly to feed off the energy that was produced. After awhile Eva began to mentally resist the mind manipulation and began to pray earnestly. A short time later she fell back to sleep. The next morning the witness found 5 of her music tapes grossly distorted as if extreme heat had been applied. However no evidence of fire or odor was present.

Anyone who has perused the vast literature from the 50s on about "close encounters" cannot but see in many of them, something comical. One guy is up a tree, a robot that blows smoke from its snout, in an impotent way of "attacking" him, and only succeeds in making him sick, eventually moves off because of being struck by what-all the man throws from the branches. A man in Scotland who is followed by a being with arms to the ground and trying to "git 'im" by belching. There are many many stories that rather end up sounding like cartoons, and can be hilarious. Jung tried to interpret the "ufo" craze as a kind of mass halucination by a kind of fracture of the collective unconscious into the conscious with subsequent "holographic-like" manifestation of fears, imagination, and merging of perception with internal stresses so as to render objective observation almost impossible. Recent studies in comparing the brains' reactions to pictures and the actual things the pictures represent show that there is a difference. So I am not one of those who think all these experiences are merely a form of madness or halucination. Here's a thought: maybe we are the butt of a cosmic joke. Maybe all things do exist, and we are learning to deal with the potential reality of a "multi-verse". When you wake up, how do you know you are really awake? Some people have dreams that occur in sequence, with definite continuity. So, when you are dreaming, how do you know you are dreaming? You say, because the dreams don't make sense! Well, when you are awake, you say the daily life makes sense, but you think the dreams are "imaginary". When you are dreaming, how often do you think about "waking life". That is lucid dreaming, and it is said to take some effort to come to the place where you alter the dream to suit your preferences. Who is to say the "waking" life isn't subject to the same rules? How many people actually go through waking life and come to their senses enough to say: I don't like this, I prefer something different? I think the rules of consciousness are only beginning to be recognized, and we are just now waking up to the fact both sides of this "veil" are malleable. Who is to say our "dreams" aren't the product of a collective will or mere laziness? The same can be said about waking life. We, I'm sure, all think war is hell, and all the motives for violence are a form of insanity. Who is to say what is the dream or the nightmare? Why not take the position that we don't know what's going on, but we are "mad as hell, and aren't going to take it anymore!"?

Okay, maybe it wasn't Scotland, as the "graylady" has provided a picture I referred to as the "being with long arms to the ground", probably a basis for Spielberg's "ET" muppet. That was what I was referring to in fact, and there was the image and I'm pretty impressed by that. But, "reptillian"? I wouldn't jump to that conclusion at all. That is one of the better "close encounter" accounts out there. Many more are out there, such as delineated by Amie Michell, even though his critics think he broke many rules of "scientific method" in collecting and incorporating them into his "straight-line" theory. I have always been amused that some people have concluded that "ufos" are forms of "demons" because of this "straight-line" theory of Michelle (sp?), because in the Far East, it is a commonplace to believe "demons" can't turn corners very well. So they place "baffles" in front of the doors to temples. But one of the cornerstones of ufology is the fact they make right-angle turns, spiral, and do all kinds of perambulations impossible by any known craft made by man. In one story about "men on the moon", by none other than the great mystic Swedenborg, the men on the moon speak by "belching". So I may have confused that story with the story about the man Greylady calls a "reptillian". Maybe that was first discussed by the Lorenzens, not sure. My thesis is still the same: we say there is a difference between reality and the imagined. What do we do if the imagined can manifest as "reality"? We have to learn to manage reality.
