Ok, there may not be a god at all, in fact, as far as we know, we may be some science experiment of a teenage alien. The bible says adam was made first and eve was made from a rib of adam. Therefore suggesting some sort of genetic engineering as one possibility. They also had no naval therefore suggesting they were born from no human, possibly in a tube simulating a pregnant womans stomach. We do not know everything, the possibilities of our existence is endless. How was this information about adam and eve recorded in the bible when there was only two people existing on the earth, most likely with no idea how they came to be, only know their creator. We may have no god, no alien making us at all, instead we just came to exist through a small percentage that something would happen to create the human race.

im sorry, trust over an internet forum means nothing. Please give me some evidence of this or the reason why you think he does, then I shall think through it.
Mr Walker
If it walks ljke a god, talks like a god, throws thunderbolts like a god, and tells you it is a god, then it might be wise to act like you believe it, even if it actually is something else.

Have you seen god? if everything in the bible is real then how come no other historical records talk about "jesus"?
Cronus
I personally define God as the one Who caused (or the force) the big bang where we humans came from.

1. I hope you are joking.

2. When has this been established as fact? Show me the evidence please.

3. Why do you believe the Christian God exists, other than "The bible says so" or "Personal Experience"?

Is God just something else?

I don't believe "God" (if such a thing exists) is anything like any description you read about or hear from preachers and believers, mystics etc. I believe man's description and assumptions as to what this thing we call God might be or expect is akin to measuring the power of a thunderbolt with a ruler. Pointless, and often pretty dangerous.

God is one of three thigs:

1.Most likely Non-Existent.

2.A giat machie super computer floating in space.

3.A giant super hot babe floating through space. Hawt.

do you think this something that created us, is a part of the same universe.

Possibly, unless there are universe clusters in which would prove that the thing that created us is highly technological. Other than that, they may be closer than we think they are.

Alright, let me pull up my dusty memories of Adam and Eve. From what I remember, this story was told to someone by God. That, or the writing was influenced by God.
As far as the "we're an experiment created by aliens", you could be right. You'd be hard pressed to find evidence for it, though. Look up Simulated Reality Theory, it's similar to your example.
To be honest, we'll most likely never know how we came to exist. Every theory has holes, and will probably also have a few. Instead of figuring how we came to be, why don't we look at what we should become (individually). Sure, learning about evolution is interesting, but I'm far more concerned about my future. I'd rather focus more attention on what I will become than how I came into existence.

Read the Sumerian tale of Adamu.
That is the Sumerian version of Adam and Eve. Or the original version some might say.
Most of the bible stories are just condensed versions of Sumerian tales.

They could be experimenting our moral issues as far as we are concerned. We could be as minor as I said before, some teenage alien's science experiment.

nope, a meteor containing organisms that could of potentially created life as we know it and therefore the stages of evolution unfurl.
Undeadskeptic
Or a super sexy babe floating through space who had a skin cell fall off of and land on Earth. And in that skin cell were the beginnings of life as we know it! And the meaning of life? To reach the super hot babe in space.
