This happened a few years back. I just wanted to see what you guys thought about it. I'll try to put as much detail as I can remember.

The date's vague.. I think it was in November because the sun had set early. As some of you probably have read in some of my other posts... I grew up in Alaska. Fairbanks to be exact. the neighborhood I lived in was about 25 minutes from town and in a small hollow.

There was already snow on the ground, probably about a foot, but it wasn't snowing that night.

I was up late working on something then the power went out. I sorta freaked because the project I was working on was on my old laptop (A really crappy machine ran on like windows3.0)

I remember it being a full moon that night. I was sitting on the floor under my bedroom window with my back to the wall since my room wasn't really big enough for a desk, a bed and my two dressers. When the power went out I remember glancing up at the wall across from me and there was a humanoid shape silhouetted on the wall of my closet.

My bedroom was on the second story. I remember that we had ladders leaning against the outer wall of the house, but they were a good ten feet away from my window. That was my first thought though, that one of the boys in the neighborhood were playing a trick on me. But it was about 30 below zero outside, and most of the kids were boys whom didn't notice me anyway. Then I started to get a creepy feeling, like it was something else. I glanced up at the figure on the other side of the glass. I remember that I couldn't see a face, but the figure was too small to be one of the neighbors all bundled up. I think we looked at eachother for about three seconds then it sank below the window.

That's when I ran out of my room snatching up my jacket. I remember going around the front of the house and checking my side of the house. There were no footprints. And the ladders were still covered with their dusting of snow against the front part of the wall. I also remember getting an eerie feeling outside, but nothing was out of place.

When all this was going on, I don't think the sled dogs my brother and I owned even barked. Which is strange because they would bark at everything even though they were big dogs.

And I know I can't blame it on the northern lights. The sky was clear at the time. The lights weren't out...

that's all I can remember of the incident, mind you it was a few years ago, but I've woken up a few times lately seeing the image right before hand. And I found the entry about it from my journal. I'm just wishing I had done a better job logging it in my journal, because all I had written there was what I wrote here. And I was an idiot not to date it.

So what do you guys think?

It sounds creepy but what makes you say that it was an alien. It's a good theory but I've heard of a few similar things that happend to peaple and while they were certain that it was super natuaral, they did'nt believe it to be an alien.
Fluffybunny
Wow, what a story...

You actually went outside after seeing it? blink.gif I always see that in the movies and think to myself "I'd have every door bolted, and the gun loaded..."

maybe that is just me...

I don't know what to make of what happened. I don't think this is what happened to you, but it did make me think of one time that something similar happened to me...My wife was out of town on business, and I had stayed up late playing games on my computer. I was in my office with the only light coming from the monitor. The power went out, and because the only light in the room was the monitor, I was seeing the equivelent to the "dots" you see after a camera flash. The interesting part was that because the game I was playing had been a shooter, the "dot" that I saw was a silhouette of the character in the game.

When the lights went out I looked out of the office door into the main part of the house, and it appeared(For just a second)that there was a glowing shape of a"person" in my living room. Scared the heck out of me for about 3 seconds until I figured out what it actually was...

At least I hope that is what it was blink.gif
buggyelfmaiden
That's what I had thought at first, but there was enough light from the moon to see by.

And yeah I'm the person that is always telling the actors in a horror movie not to go outside and I broke the rule, but I had to know. The same thing happened every day for a week.

Sweet, a wise-cracking debunker. Here I was just thinking to myself how sick I am of people posting things that are actually useful.
Urielsfire
Anyway, you say that you felt an "eerie" feeling. Would you describe this as a feeling of unreality? Also, did it occur only after you saw something at your window? I understand it was a long time ago and you might not remember.
pumiky
creepy expiriance you had... and you were home alone? wow...
i remamber me as a young girl alon at my house...
are you shore its not your imegination ... maybe it was a shadow of
something???
im not underestimating what your saying , just trying to help you
understand... imagination has a weird impact on our brain you know...
MrMachine
Imagination is a weird thing. i think it is our minds filling in what we don't see with what we want to see. I think everyone sees things that they don't know if it was real or not at some point. i know i have seen some weird things, but no aliens as of yet. anytime you tell a story like this tere will be some skeptics because the kind of people that read these web sites like to see scientific proof. the only way you will know if it is real is by deciding how well you trust your own memory.
buggyelfmaiden
the eerie feeling wasn't just then... I had it several other times when I was in the house. After seeing the 'entity' a few times durring daylight too, it was never fully in veiw.

I think that's one of the reasons, once my brother was old enough to take care of himself I left, headed to Georgia for three years.

I went back to my hometown and saw the thing two or three times before I left again a year later. Though this time, it seemed more protecting...

maybe it was my guardian angel

that would only work if I was the religious sort. I don't really believe in angels... demons yeah, and spirits, but Angels of one diety.....

*Still trying to puzzle it out.*
