What is it?
Cradle of Fish
It's one black pixel in a sea of grey ones.

What are the odds of having the same black pixel in two different camera angles?

Same object photographed from different angle:

Cradle of Fish
It could be one of the moons.

The object appears in four photographs at the bottom of this page:

The odds are very high if taken with the same camera original.gif

If that is true, that is just kewl! Being able to see Phobos or Deimos from the surface of Mars is just awesome! thumbsup.gif I'm Really curious now. Is there any way to ask Nasa about this?

There's actually 2 pixels in all the pix. You can see them in the sky shot, and when superimposed, they are all in exactly the same positions in each image.

It's a weather balloon. What you think they gonna say? tongue.gif

Its a problem with the camera. Its in the exact same spot in all four photos. If you take them into photoshop and layer them in the same document, it becomes obvious.

Brownie points for getting excited about Mars' moons rather than the obvious (for this board) alternative original.gif
