I saw a shadow person on two occasions. (Duh) And Ill tell you when (Duh-again)
First Time- I was in my mean teacher Mrs. Haleys science class. I asked to go to the bathroom, to get outta class. On my return arrival, I saw something Big, and Black go through a wall. Let me set up the scene. On the way to Haleys class, there is a staircase, just to get to her class, and it has one landing, and another staircase. And I was at the top. I looked over, saw something big, and black run through the wall! Also, the doors are big, metal, and noisy, so whatever it was would have to travel through a door. That was last year

Second Time- Saw it through a classroom door window. Nothing big. Coulda been a student, or something. That was this year

What you saw was an entity, not a ghost but an elemental entity. I know, a bit too weird. Most psychic's I know would agree that it was an elemental entity. Dude, your third eye is open.

It does not startle me one bit. Spirits like those are commonly spotted. At a school would be a ideal location to see one.

You saw some weird shadows. Big deal. If I had a buck for every time I saw a few weird shadows I'd be too rich to bother with replying to your thread.

If there are anomalous shadows running around, then others will have seen them, too. Ask around. But don't ask if they've seen shadows, and don't tell them you've seen them. Just ask if they've seen "anything strange" in the school and see if they come up with the same thing you saw.

If people are seeing them, then you should be able to set up video cameras and film them. Try it.

i just joined this forum and was about to share my expirence and then i saw there is already a topic about it. i have seen shadow people about 5 times in my life and all sightings have been within in 1 year and all at the same place. it was at my grandparents house in the city and i was 6 years old (i no i was young but i no wat i saw, there is no doubt about it. even tho it was 10 years ago it is probably the clearest memory i have had in my life). i saw the shadows of a person down a narrow pathway in between the house and the fence. i would look out of the window and some times i would see a shadow moving along the fence and ground. i also remember clearly seeing the shadow then having a look down the pathway (out of the window) to see if there was anyone there (obviously i didn't see anyone there). i would look back and the shadow would still be there for a couple seconds then vanish. i even remember that everybody in the house was siting in the same room and seeing the shadows out of the window. whenever i would show other people the shadow would not be there. it was always in the same place. the sightings stopped because my grandparents sold the house. this is probably the reason i have always been drawn to the supernatural.

I am not making this up.

I've seen it one time. I just walked out of the toilet when I see something dashed right next to me. After fetching my glasses, I realize that it's my classmate.

ive heard several accounts heres what i gathered.

they are the real black
they have no depth [not like normal shadows]
they move without moving [glide] and at that impossibly fast.
and they always scare the [omit] out of you.


i beleive some are caused by your eyes not relaying info from that area.

but since there are group sightings i would say some are real entities.

I agree there is something to this. For instance there are the reported shadow people that were seen around a graveyard. The thing is, having no detectable reaction to the observers makes it somewhat strange for a thing that is consciously aware of the environment. They seem from what you guys say, to have no concern for any matter else they would avoid barriers. From what i gather this is not the case. This of course makes one question the validity of proximity or validity of true life sighting. Seeing as how some hauntings are considered to have a 'chill' effect on the witness. Is ther eany enviromental sensation?

I personally didnt expirence any chill but I wasnt in the direct area of the entity. I was inside and saw the shadow outside through a window.

interesting. i am not skeptic of your experience. If i was given to be skeptical then i would be in the wrong place i think. but, i have something that is not related directly but something that may help think in the right direction.

When i was a kid, i stayed at my grandmother's and we were in the lower room. There was a window well that we got the light from. she had a cat that would jump at the wall. as if it was attacking things that were not there. She said it was ghosts. But i pointed out to her that maybe its the polarized light from the street, being reflected on the wall, beyond our visible range.

i guess i am asking you are you sure that a reflection wasn't possible.if so why?

im pretty sure there wasnt any reflection of a light due to this usually occurred in evening or during the day. what is interesting is that most expirences that people report on this site have happened when they were either children or teenagers.

lol your not alone with shadow people....When i lived at my old house i always saw black shadows flying around out the corner of my eye and in my mirror and one day i was getting out of the shower and when i turned off the lights and walked out something told me to turn around and look when i turned around i saw nothing then i got closer and looked up and saw these two red eyes that was just looking at me moving back and forth and i wasn't even scared i was looking at it really close like what the heck are you!! and it was just looking at me like uhhhh ,,ive heard shadow ppl can have red eyes!! creepy but cool that house was weird it would be a perfect haunted house it sits on a bigggggggg hill surrounded by woods and no neighboors too close.

Shadow People - Earthbound demons who manifest as shadows, usually not interacting with the physical, and fly about your peripheral vision. Drawn to places of trauma, perversion or where something.. bad has happened. They thrive off of the atmosphere of sorrow, anger, hate, and struggle of mankind.

I've witnessed shadow people at Glenn Dale Hospital, in PG County, Maryland.. An abandoned tuberculosis sanitarium, and an urban exploration favorite... Also at Waverly Hills Sanitorium, in Kentucky, my own apartment building, and at a restaraunt I worked at when I was 18.. and many other places.

There's nothing really to worry about, the shadow people are there.

oh thats great i had a demon in my old house haha im glad i moved so much happened in that house it was weird as hell like when i was preg with my daughter i was talking on the phone and i got up to go to the hallway and i heard a whistle it was so loud who i was talking to heard it. it was like one of thoses where somebody is trying to get your attention ..yeah that night i didn't sleep haha

Agreed hrvat, like i remember many so called 'experiences' when i was a teen. The sense of chemical imbalance in the body as a result of puberty is incredibly similar to known mental disorders. For example obsessive personality , distorted personal image, incomprehensible thinking and lack of concentration.
this of course is not to lay claim that anyone has misinterpreted experiences as being real just that ones that may be questionable are made more profound by this biochemical state. An example is the love at first sight phenomenon, which truly exists, but consider that the mind reacts and allows the chemistry to circulate, the mate recognition becomes more pronounced more spiritual and more profound by the altered perception. Sometimes this mate recognition can fool someone into thinking it is love at first sight. as the mind doesn't really give all the info, for example, it doesn't say i am going to douse you with a naturally occurring synthetically produced alkaloid from your pineal gland to encourage the beauty you see, with the added caution of things are not as close in the mirror as they appear to be.

in regards to your post. Did the shapes seem to stay in a 2d effect or were they able to move in a perspective sense?

They were full 3-D, just black shapes in 3-D

Hmmm... it appears that I'm not the only one who's seen a shadow man...although I still seem to be the only one who's seen one standing still in a purely phyisical form...

I have one in my home. He's only ever appeared clearly to me once, but only ever as the shadow after that.

They are Djinn. Dont mess with them or harm them etc. They are quick to get revenge, even possesion of the body.

First of all, if you have seen what I have seen you do not call them "strange shadows". I had my own shadow person as a child. For example the second time that I saw one, I was staying at my aunts. When I woke during the night I saw a hat wearing shadow in front of the christmas tree. It was not until an occassion in which I came back from the bathroom "knowing I was fully awake" reached up to grab my covers and saw it standing in the window that I flipped out enough to get out of dodge. This was the only time I ran, due to not seeing a purpose. Years later finding literarture on this subject, I showed it to all of my doubters "family/friends". Talking about opening the eyes, it was even called the same thing "hat man" that I had called it for years. In fact there are a lot of people in my area that have seen it. There is a place down by my house, where people go to investigate them. It is around the edges of the bog. In fact that is where my name comes from as people call it the "bogcreeper". By the way I really do believe that mnemeion is correct in stating that these are not ghosts but are elemental. When these beings dart away from you, they do not disappear, they just simply move. I have studied these beings quiet a bit, so if anyone has anything to ask me or better yet tell me I'll take it with open ears.

dont worry, ur not crazy..i have seen shadow beings too. a lot of people have. what i do know is that only believers can see them. and also, the more scared u are, the easier it i for spirits to mess with u become vulnerable or exposed.
