After reading various accounts of shadow people I thought I would share my experience. First of all though I am wondering what a shadow person is. I have read here people actually say they are shadows seen on walls and stuff, but others say they are solid black figures?
That made me think of my experience, and if it is a shadow person or a ghost. It happened when i was 10 or so, I was in the bathroom at the sink, as i lent over to wash my face, i saw a black figure about my height (whatever that height was when i was 10) walk past me over my shoulde. I jumped out of my skin and said out aloud, something like 'Geez, I thought you were someone else!'. At that point i realised the bathroom door was shut and there was noone else in the room but me. I believe my house to be haunted after many experiences, but wondering if what i saw could have been a ghost or shadow person or anything else?

Well I know I have told this account before on here, but I will tell my story again.

When I was about 9 or 10 I saw what I believe was a shadow person. It was in my bedroom and it was about 8 at night or so, and I had just got in my bed and was trying to sleep. Then I just happend to open my eyes and stare at a dark figure who moved into my bedroom, and stood at the foot of my bed. The figure was of a tall man, so at first I thought it was my dad coming in to check on me or something. So I said, "Hi dad!"....and no answer so I said "Dad?"....then I started screaming "DAD!! DAD!! IS THAT YOU!" at that point I was soo scared that I got out of bed and ran out of my room, and ran out of the house. As I was running out of my room, I remember running actually around the figure at the end of my bed, and it kind of turned to watch me leave. Needless to say, when I ran outside screaming, I found both my mom and dad in the garage working on setting up for a garage sale we were going to have the next day. I think they had to calm me down, because I was soo freaked out about it.

I believe that you guys believed that you saw something but Its really hard to believe what a child can say they've seen because their imagination is almost running nonstop. I remember a lot of creepy wierd things that I know now as an adult, were just half dream like state, and embelished from my imagionation, and of course, distorted over time.

i had an expirence with wat i think was a shadow person but that is in another topic. I was a child when it happened to me aswell. I also know it wasnt my wild imagination. Maybe there is a link there????

I have had a shadow person sighting. I was not a child when I had it, I was a teen. First off I should say that in my teens I had a big problem with getting sleep paralysis almost every night. There have been a lot of strange things that happened to me during this state between dreams and reality, but in this post I will only mention my encounter with the shadow person.

I was sleeping on the couch in my living room. I woke up and I could not move or speak. All I could do was see... I could move my eyes but that is it. I felt completely awake. It was dark in the room. I then saw a figure moving across the walls. This figure looked like a shadow but also seemed to have a 3-dimensional look to it as well (hard to explain, sorry). It did not have a humanoid figure (this is also hard to explain...) it looked like a distorted figure of an insect or something with a lot of skinny legs. anyways, it crawled across the walls in an upward spiral through the room. When it got to the ceiling it crawled diagonally from corner to corner and then stopped on the ceiling directly above me. It then turned into a large drip like thing and slowly fell down toward me.... kind of like a drip in slow motion. just before it hit me it disappeared and I was able to move and everything was back to normal.
