A few months back I started noticing the fact that my eyes where drawn to the clock at 11:11 or 1:11 this went on for some weeks until eventually I got the nerve up to mention it to my husband. sure enough after a few days he began to think it was weird too. I don't know why it happened but I have spoken a couple of other people about and discovered it happens quite regularly. So just out of curiosity I thought I'd start a poll .  :)

          Kismit
p.s. If you have experienced different repeated numbers please post them here ....THANX ;)
Ronin6th
It happens for me, but rarely......

By the way, some people seem to have their lives related to a special number, don't you think?

Even if I find it really strange sometimes, I don't believe in numerology or stuffs like that...numbers are so easy to rig...
Kismit
thanx , Ronin I read a fictional book written by Uri Geller and he believed that repeated 11's meant that the secret seven (or what ever he calls his alien freinds )were trying to contact you. :sa

  Kismit
by the way that last post was my 11th     hahaha ;D
I dont notice a repeat of a number as such but when July 8th land on a tuesday some thing always bad happen first time was my Grandma died the the time after that dad had a car crash then the time after the we was broken in to. So i plan on not doing too much the next time July 8 comes on that day.
Tommy
Hey Kismit,  :st

Well every time I look at a clock it seems to be on the 59th minute, which I think is kinda strange.  :s6

Here's the link where we talked about something similar

It seems there are other number synchronicities:

Lottery numbers for yesterday were 911.

Hmmmmm......

thanx Tommy you're a wizz. I'ts a pitty the last thread was so short . Still it would be nice to see a few more people voting in the poll so I can gage just how common an occorance this is . I like the internal boddy clock theory. only that when it happens to me it can go on for weeks and then just abruptly stop , and no the change in daylight savings doesnt seem to be a factor there.  ;)
           Kismit
so If you want to make somebody happy for the day please please vote in the poll :sq   that smilly looks like my real hair  ;D

OK remember the movie Pi? The old man in the movie said to the younger mathematician when referring to the number 21 and it's significance, "When your mind becomes obsessed with anything, it will filter everything else out, and see that thing, everywhere in nature! "

Kismit
I like your theory Mentalcase it's highly likely thats what happens, which is why I wont to asses how many people experience this phenomenon. :sp

Hello Kismit, this is an interesting topic. To me it seems as if it may be a chain attraction of some sort.

For example, my wife's boss had told her that her grandfather had passed away at 11:11, years ago. Subsequently her eyes would be attracted to the clock at this time, at frequent intervals during the week......My Subsequently, within several days of being told this, my wife also became in tune with 11:11. Now, I am also somehow dragged into all this repetitive numeral phenomenon, especially 3:33, 1:11,   ;D

Anyway, here is a fascinating insight into the 11:11 sequence from Uri geller's website. It makes a good read, but I agree that in some parts he gets carried away ..........enjoy

Thanx Azazel :st the link was great ,a lot more information than I got from the back of a dust cover.
Interesting stats on the number 11 but any matthematician can tell you that you can make any number fit into a situation if you try hard enough, mind you there are quite a few. ???
Kismit
p.s the more votes the better everyone (please dont vote more than once of course) :se
Mentalcase
Kismit, from what i understand, you can only vote once, unless you have another member name or guest name. ;)

Every day that I have looked at the clock, whether it be the microwave, my cell phone, or the digital, it is one out of two times either 1:11, 2:22, 3:33, 4:44, or 5:55. This has been going on for a long while now and it's got me thinking I've lost it.... What could it mean? hmm.gif
