Geeohn, I agree, I have run into many instances where On-Star fails to work at all. From not unlocking the door to not sending a signal in a wreck. I originally thought it had to do with meterological conditions, maybe it actually wasnt working due to this type of activity.
The fact it has the capability to be used in such a way gives me all the more reason not to buy a GM product.

I agree, as long as the hardware is in the car I would bet they can use it to listen in on you. If it is challenged in the future I bet the government will use the patriot act to defend the use of it.

Not a surprise....
Your government (US) installs trojan miners alongside the AOL browser. Therefore, do not use AOL...unless you're happy with the big cheeses looking over your shoulder while you're sitting at your desktop.

I am sure the government made sure all internet providers beside AOL follow this new
"law" in order to conduct business.

I'm just a little confused- why would they care what I say in my car or in my private home....I mean - why target ordinary citizens. I can't imagine they have the time or will to be that controling. Believe me NO ONE wants to hear me singing in my car! While they may be doing this for "certian individuals" I can't imagine why they would want to track EVERYONE!

it depends on what you do for a living and what race you are that makes you a very important person to the government.
