My answer to the question to how one can justify either view is to keep searching and questioning others and also yourself to find out your answers. Read as much as you can on each subject and make your own decision. The search never ends. Be respectful to others as you on you search because that person the that you are talking to or listning to may just be the one who opens your eyes to what you really believe. Once you achieve your goal one way or another: your true belief the more you will strengthen your whole life.

sometimes , like ones computer , it is necessary to strip it down and start from the beginning.

Keeping it simple , keeping God simple , your mind quiet of any opinion but your own . no book . no structure no outside answer and see how simple it really is. and it really is but more than can be imagined so you can't .

like seeing stars for the first time...... wow.

LR this [post of yours is the essence of simplicity...indeed one needs no books or rules ... no looking outside for what can be found within, is you....perhaps knowing the difference is the inquiry...

I live very close to the ocean and everytime I see the ocean I am moved naturally to the place beyond words.... ...all of .Life is simplicity its so deeply spiritual it astounds me when one is searching for it somewhere else, how do you miss the gift of life???..., ....so many miss that that the greatest of complexity is the simplicity....

exactly. that 'God' (whom I've taken to calling bob of late lol) is so massive as to make the universe an atom and an atom a universe in compaison. That we all , without exception, go back to whatever bob is. yet we run around like chickens with our heads cut off as my gran says.

we make it complicated and hard and hateful. maybe we need too. that spirit of ours needing a human experience. It's just sad we make the God part so hard on top of it all when that should be a communal place of retreat. not unlike Supermans crystal hideout !! lol

Then again. maybe if we 'got ' it this whole experiment would be over. ?

I always though God is that feeling you get kinda like falling in love , except you haven't . it's just you. and bob.

^^ Nice Rips. I agree... of course, my views on simplicity are pretty darn rigid, and... simple. When you simplify your lifestyle, simplify your faith, separate out the garbage from the necessities, what you have left is well... happiness.

Honestly, I've lived my short life extravegantly, and simply, I've also lived it simply with the goal of making it extravegant (aka, more money, more stuff, better jobs, more stuff, better house, better car etc...). I can say without a doubt, in my experience; living life spiritually simple and materialistically simple is the best of all worlds, and the happiest.

Let God own your heart. (not the church)
Own your possessions, don't let your possessions own YOU.

It's a pretty slick little recipe for life. It's the one thing I wish all people could experience and understand.
