Hello,

Well, basically, several of my folders which contain avi's and mpg's are acting up.

The names of the files are missing...the picture preview of the file (in thumbnail view) is visible, but the names are just gone. They play fine btw.

I thought at first it may have been because of the size of the folders but I have much larger ones which are having no trouble.

(using XP)

Any ideas?

On Windows Explorer, go to Tools->Folder Options->View and then Check the "Show hidden files and folders"

And then go to the folder with problem, and check if there's any weird semi transparent files. You might want to delete them. Also, try to delete "thumbs" (or thumbs.db if you unchecked the "Hide extensions for known file types"), and see if that makes any difference (after you refresh it of course).

Hiya,

Just did that, I found two transparent files and deleted em, but the problem still remains...

Have you tried "reset all folders" in Folder Options?
